He should. Bristric is currently our only senior striker—and we don't yet know how good he is. If the plan is to use Bristric as a traditional centre forward and provide a focal point for the attack, we need at least one—and preferably two—other players who can perform the same role, one of whom must be on the bench. Otherwise we'll be in a situation in which every time Bristric is subbed or can't play, we'll be forced to switch to playing BDCR or Cullen as a false nine (which, based on the evidence of the last two games, is likely to be very ineffective). It would be mad to be entirely reliant on Bristric's availability to play in the way RM wants. We will need Hutchinson this season.

100% we bring in another striker before the close of the window.

Just agent talk - He has scholarship deal until 2026 - agent just trying bump up the wages for his professional contract

The way we operate we need a kick up the ass to do this stuff! We need to be tying down these lads, 5 of these young lads is the cost of one bdcr one is of no use in anyway at least 2/5 are probably going to fetch us cash at some stage.

We are desperate to get things right with this crop right now, our future as a club actually depends on it

This is exactly how it should be but the manager keeps referring to players that simply can't play in that position. BDR should be shipped out let alone starting for this team, way past it !

We're a club that feels our youth aren't good enough for us, after getting relegated to our lowest ebb, and then our youth players get linked/ go to clubs like Man City, Utd, Liverpool and Lazio.

The only long term youth integrated into the side is Luke Thomas and Hamza Choudhury.

We're a social experiment.

Or the big clubs think they can get them cheap and flip them for a profit.

Hopefully Alves, Braybrooke, Joseph and Aluko change that.

We need more experience. We need more senior pros.

the over reaction on here to any sort of news is actually getting kinda OTT,

Will Lazio pay what we want for Hutchinson? no

will another team?

maybe...

but the club have a benchmark....the monga fee, and thats basically what theyll want(in and around what they got for monga, as in the base fee) for any talented youth player, and I suspect Hutchinson is one they think it worthy of that monga fee mark to even remotely consider letting him leave the club

Think this is agent talk imo. Hamza was linked to Barca when he was younger used to force the clubs hand for better demands, to get his name out there etc and this feels the same

The one positive of this situation was that Seagrave would come good and the academy would be blooded and we’d start again. While there is a bit of that, the fact a lot are leaving is just abysmal and shows how deep the financial problems are.

Aiyawatt and Rudkin should not be allowed near the place ever again. I cannot wait for us to be sold and for new custodians to fire Rudkin 1 minute after taking control. Although I bet he’ll use that as the time to skulk off into the sunset on all the money he too has drained out of the club.

We finally have what looks to be a great generation of young players coming through and its going to get pulled apart for barely any money back isn’t it?

absolutely it is, already has been to some extent. Monga, Page, Motsi, then Hutchinson and Carr will go. Its scandalous.

£13M for monga at 16 years old is crazy amount of money - no one bar top 6 clubs can turn that down.

I get the point but more clubs than the top 6 can turn that down. Brentford, Brighton, Forest etc etc etc wouldn’t have sold for that.

Southampton would’ve got £25m for him.

It certainly does.

The  optimism after the pre season game against Northampton. where the youngsters showed much promise,  has alll but gone and been replaced with a fear that the best of them may  be squanderd for an insignificant sum of money.

Pro deal was announced less than a year ago and already out of contract next summer?

Odd to only do a 2 year pro deal, they are usually 3

I'm sure you don't need reminding of the capable ineptitude our club has...
