We finally have what looks to be a great generation of young players coming through and its going to get pulled apart for barely any money back isn’t it?

Talks have been taking place over a professional contract; however, Mail Sport understands that, with an agreement still to be reached, a number of Premier League clubs have been alerted by his situation.

Midlands neighbours Nottingham Forest are among those who are well aware of Hutchinson and are watching developments.

Many scouts first took note last season when Hutchinson scored an impressive 41 goals and made 14 assists in 29 games.

This time around, despite Leicester's U18s struggling and finishing second from bottom of the U18s Premier League south division, Hutchinson has still managed to score 12 goals in 18 games this campaign, including a hat-trick against West Ham.

Can't be losing talents to Forest and their tin pot academy/training facilities.

Exactly the sort of talent we should be hoovering up from all regions of the East Mids and keeping.

Agreed but the only way we stand a chance of keeping exciting talent is by showing them we have a route for them to first team football. Playing Monga and Evans will help but it has to be a regular thing.

Forest would be a strange choice by that logic as they aren't exactly a production line for youth products. Johnson and Yates the most recent ones I think with Abbott coming through but hasn't featured much other than cup games. I expect as others suggest it's probably just media talk.

Not really some players will just want to leave anyway, especially for a premier league club.

Some won't dream of starting their profession career at anywhere but Leicester.

That was once the grand dream. But a fancy training ground means **** all in the championship. The PL is where you need to be and as soon as we let that slip. We just become another club.

All these good youngsters will be picked off by bigger clubs unfortunately. Not sure what legacy Seagrave and Top will have but right now it's not looking great.

Particularly if the club in question has little interest in PSR and is willing to cough up £25k PW for youth players.

We've got to show we are better than other Clubs by making sure they also get a good education alongside their football education.

That's something parents can resonate with and give us the best chance to keep them here and achive our Goals.
