Maguire has made nearly 170 league appearances and 247 in all comps 6 years later that fee works out about 13m per year

Given all the money they have spent on players that havnt even lasted a season, it’s deemed as one of the more successful signings in terms of their recent history.

He left to win things though and only won the fa cup and league cup

Wolvesy, they’ll turn it around

I personally think Brentford are in more shit. Potter will probably get the tin tack if West Ham don't improve and they'll get a quality replacement.

To think some people didn’t want Moyes at one stage 🤣

worked miracles there

Didn’t play the “West Ham” way of course.

Not sure anyone has since !

You're underestimating the importance of a manager. Get it wrong and you're screwed. NES has been so important to them since appointed. Make no mistake, with Cooper at the helm and a four point deduction in 23-24, they'd have dropped. They certainly wouldn't have made Europe the following season even if they had survived.

Look at how vulnerable Brentford look without Frank. It's different if you expect a move and can make succession plans, but given Forest just gave him a new contract, I'd be surprised if much due diligence had been put into his replacement. Plus Marinakis's record of managerial appointments is pretty shite.

Very different to the Brentford situation who lost the whole back room staff, Mbeumo, Wissa and Norgaard.

Marco Silva is unhappy at Fulham and been linked with them in the past (ex Oly) and they nearly appointed Glasner before Nuno (who’s also unhappy).

it’s very much a ‘head coach’ role set up there, someone will slot in and do alright as things stand

I am surprised Nuno is so worried about his squad as they seem to be pretty settled and kept key players apart from one who they replaced I think with the  Swiss lad from Italy who scored last week?

Presume he is concerned about the size of it with European football to come.

I don't think they get Glasner as the Eze money is likely to get reinvested and Palace will fight tooth and nail to keep him with all that's gone on between Marinakis and Parish this summer.

Silva wouldn't be a shock, but there'd be a compensation package to pay as well as a chunky pay off for Nuno from the contract he's just signed. They could be sailing close to the wind with PSR given what they've spent this summer if that happens. A lot of the chatter at the moment is Ange.

Forest seem to be self imploding, before they have played a European game........

Very annoying that they had an easy first fixture. Needed them to have a West Ham style start to really facilitate a full implosion.

Maybe he's learnt his lessons from Wolves where he always had a very small squad of players, even in Europe. We're talking 18-19 first teamers before academy players. Maybe the bench size nowadays has changed things too.

Palace tomorrow has lots of scope to go wrong. Hostile atmosphere, manager and board at loggerheads and up against a club with a bit of fight and momentum from winning two trophies in three months.

Why so we miss out on the PL seasons when other teams implode.

West ham's start has relegation written all over it. Feels a bit like ours when we went down a few seasons ago.

There’s always teams like that waving a bad start. Even in January there were loads of posters on here saying our squad was better than Palace and we should easily finish above them.

Palace weren’t getting thumped. West Ham look in real trouble and their fans are toxic

Spurs top of the league, going to win it all!

Lol. Righhhtttt

Looking pretty comfortable on top. Be shocked if they don't see it out over the next 36 games.
