Is the substitution of Yoro for Maguire not evidence that Amorin doesn't know what he is doing.

Unless your centre half is injured or having a shocker, surely you don't take him off.

Mbeumo will keep them up.....

Neville making excuses for the abysmal Mbuemo missing from 4 yards, "it was coming in quickly".

It did though lol the ball just hit him, can hardly call it an attempt

Didn't hear any of them say anything negative about Haaland's miss though oddly. Even if he was trying to be smart and place it the opposite side to the defender running on, he still misses the target and for the supposed best striker in the world, it was honking.

Bit weird that Bernardo Silva is Man City captain ahead of Ruben Dias and Rodri?

I’m hoping I’ve not completely made this up but I’m sure I’ve heard Pep, Martinez and others hold up Silva as someone who is going to be an elite coach in the future.

Certainly one of the cleverest I’ve seen in this league, seems to see about 4 or 5 steps ahead of everyone!

Oh yeah he’s an outstanding footballer and clearly a very intelligent operator.

I just see Ruben and Rodri as leaders of men whereas Silva is this class player they’ve got who’s tried to leave on more than one occasion.

Is it? He’s been there longer than both and that’s very much how Man City do it.

Mbeumo when Man U bought him I shock my head, the guy is pretty much useless..

One good season and they throw money around to get him. That's the issue they have. Same with Cunha, one season where he scored 15 or more. These are the type of players that are okay at mid table clubs but never going to be game changers for a club like Manchester United. Then again, I guess Manchester United are just a mid table team now themselves anyway.

73 goals/assists in 140 Premier League appearances. Very similar numbers per game to the likes of Mahrez, Son, Mane and Bale.

You're welcome to not rate him at the level Man United aspire to be at but to say he's useless is clearly wide of the mark.

£65m for a 25 year old winger who has just scored 20 league goals for Brentford seems fair to me.

One season though. If he had done it for a couple of seasons then fair enough.

Since he joined the Premier League;

2024/25 - 20 goals, 8 assists - 38 games.

2023/24 - 9 goals, 7 assists - 25 games.

2022/23 - 9 goals, 8 assists - 38 games.

2021/22 - 4 goals, 7 assists - 35 games.

I'd say that's a player that has consistently provided for his team all while improving year on year.

Half of Amorim's league wins have been against last season's bottom three plus Burnley. A third of the total goals in those four matches.

That is terrible.

They're lucky they're not in Championship. I saw a table with 31 games played since Amorim was appointed and they're last on points against all "established" PL teams.

If this season the promoted teams prove to be more competitive Man Utd will be in huge trouble.

They've spent a billion and they're still fielding Maguire and Shaw (and Mount!). Imo the problem isn't just Amorim. It's Ratatouille. He's the major problem of this team.

No he isn't. Their defence is awful first of all. Without Fernandes they would be even lower. He's the best player in the team yet gets criticism every week and it's over the top. Scholes called him "the most creative player" after the Manchester derby defeat and that he should be playing higher up the pitch, which I probably agree with.
