Slot gone according to Romano.

Iraola likely to replace him.

Been found this season, liverpool looked so average this year. Even towards the end 2024-25 despite winning the league. Up to when they played Plymouth, they looked unbeatable that result knocked the stuffing out of them.

Apart from Ranieri, can’t think of another manager sacked before completing/starting a 2nd season after winning the title in their first.

Conte in 2018, Mancini in 2013, Ancelotti in 2011.

This might just be the worst thing that's ever happened in the history of football.

I actually think Iraola is a better choice than Alonso

Iraola comes with much less baggage I think. Alonso would have been on a hiding to nothing. Liverpool are in this area where they don't need a full rebuild, so there's expectation to win but there is work needed so he needs time.

He will be walking alone lol.

i can see both sides of this. One could say he pulled a Ranieri in terms of inheriting a good squad already on the rise from the previous year.

That said they invested a lot of cash this past season and 60 points or whatever they ended with is diabolical. Still made champions league so you almost feel he should get part of next season to prove himself before the sack.

Orrrr dont risk it and go this way.

Either way I hope they fail lol.

Iraola will be gone by December if he's Liverpool's next manager. The team needs a huge rebuilt and there's no way Iraola can do it.

Spent a lot last summer so how much left do they have ?

Should have guessed there would be a Chelsea manager, or two in there somewhere!

Missed out Mourinho in 2015.

Gerrard to liverpool going to happen or are they more sensible than that.

I thought the bournemouth manager was nailed on?  Gerrard no chance, probably end up at burnley or somewhere like that.
