Obviously his popularity comes from his stance on immigration. Which believe it or not is a popular opinion out in the real world. This left wing echo chamber of 9 or 10 regular posters in General Chat is not how the rest of the country feel.

Always helps when you read the actual post before you hit quote.

The English won't sort out immigration until they stop being so stupid about it. Believe it or not, I have quite a lot of experience in the "real world" beyond Tamworth and I know that if the figureheads of your cause are people like Farage and Robinson, you are truly and utterly ****ed. Good luck with that.

Like, ignoring the whole "making it clear that the American Eagle ad was a dogwhistle" stuff, how are they still mad at Bud Light giving one pack of cans to Dylan Mulvaney 2 years ago? Like, my god, you'd think she went and shat in every hole at Mar-a-Lago with this level of obsessed.

OceanGate had "critically flawed" safety practices and a toxic workplace culture, a damning report into the fatal Titan sub disaster finds

The US Coast Guard says the company "leveraged intimidation tactics... to evade regulatory scrutiny" and "completely" ignored vital inspections

Chief executive Stockton Rush showed "negligence that contributed to the deaths", the report says, adding he may have been subject to criminal liability had he survived

The family of two victims says "no report can alter the heart-breaking outcome" and calls for "meaningful reform".

That's rather damning.

Not sure he was quite as right about Mdme Swift, though.

All of that aside, eighty years after the events of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, I'm wondering if someone who makes statements like the above is really someone you want with the power to order a unilateral and absolute nuclear strike on whatever target he wishes?

No. I sincerely hope that Trump ****s up things so much that we don't see his ilk for decades. We will never see progress, of any kind really, with people like him in charge. He's a destroyer and you can argue that in extreme cases those are needed for a 'shake up', but his job was done long ago. Every day he stays in power is a day human society gets set back further.

The only thing I'll add to this is that I hope the fvckup isn't so big that it causes irrevocable problems (possible), and that the "not seeing his ilk for decades" is not only desirable, but necessary for anything approaching the safe continuity of human civilisation (rather than just one small and relatively insignificant part of it).

Genuinely interested in what good things do you think he has done?

He has been able to a certain section of society, that probably are not so verse with the world explain the word Asian and its lack of relevance to society and how false that label is, more so who the Sikhs are and how he values there contribution to British society.

In recent times, I've seen that certain section of society behave in a different way towards my kin in a positive manner.

He has been an advocate for the great work the legendary Bhai Moham Singh of the SAS and others have done in there non violent tackling of rape gangs, the fact the likes of Shere Punjab have been fighting this curse for over 30 years.

he's really not, they ran a generic ass ad campaign. This is literally just a bunch of crybabies complaining about seeing ethnic minorities, and anyone who is genuinely opposed to the Jaguar ad should follow their bible: "if thine own eye offends you, pluck it out"

Difficult to imagine Roosevelt, Truman or Eisenhower coming out with something like that, isn't it?

Washington or Lincoln, perhaps, at a push.

And this is why some say he is the greatest President they've ever had

I don't think anyone thinks its not a popular opinion, however those of you who believe that net zero is a realistic prospect in this countey need to explain to those near or already retired how are the limited workforce are going to pay for their pensions. It was no accident that following Brexit Johnson enacted a policy that increased net migration to nearly 1 million. He knew very well that without such numbers are economy would be even more up the swanny than it is.

To be fair that figure was inflated by Ukrainians and those from Hong Kong who we rightfully helped.

Whilst I agree that there is a need for a reasonable level of migration, it’s unsustainable to take in many who will never contribute, especially if the economy continues to flat line as looks the case. The wrong sort of migration has the potential to exacerbate the growing crisis we have with people being unable or unwilling to work which this government seem unable to address. Perceived injustices such as housing allocations, especially in the rental market as they move asylum seekers out of hotels, is likely to continue to see social unrest build.

Having seen the interview with Mr Robinson it seems the whole incident can be summed up in about 4 words.

Who are these mistical migrants who will never contribute. The economically inactive migrant figure is dwarfed by those of us who were born here. Immigrants have always been and will continue to be for some time a  net contributer to our economy.

never mind, deleted a longer post because I just can’t be arsed with this Americanised culture war nonsense that Farage sells anymore. If you really need to go on tv to virtue signal about a company going bust over the most generic and inoffensive tv ad ever which most people in the real world will barely notice and have forgotten they’ve seen it 5 seconds later, it’s probably worth self reflecting on who the real snowflakes who get offended over nothing and peddlers of cancel culture are tbh.
