Rubio's brand of sociopathy is just a little more subdued but it's reasonably obviously there.

 

 

You're right about the ego still having massive influence over the party direction and that's not going away any time soon.

 

I fear that only death or a comprehensive criminal conviction will help there. 

Rubio is actually a bit of an odd one. As a senator he was a rabid neo con, yet as SoS he seems to be a lot more rational and is far the most normal person in the cabinet, which obviously isn’t hard. His foreign policy within the Americas, he was probably behind Maduro’s kidnapping and what’s going on in Cuba, but outside of that he really has been non interventionist.

Agreed, but he also clearly believes that all of the Americas should be the private fiefdom of the US, so don't let the veneer of rationality fool anyone.

Thing I like about Rubio is he has a much better idea on immigration.

 

yes he’s a build the wall kind of guy and I am too- a country should be able to protect their borders however they want to, but he wants to expand yet simplify and expedite the asylum process. He wants to give people a reason to come in legally. Also, he’s all for those who came over say 10 years ago, never put a foot wrong, contributing their taxes, ect staying. In short, an amnesty in place for those already  here.think he’s the only one in the ‘ power circle’ advocating that. You won’t hear him repeat it too much whilst Trump is his boss, but when it’s him and Vance on the debate stage trying to replace trump, it will all come out again.

I wonder how many people who are fine with Trump's plan to buy votes for $5k would be ok with it if it was his opposition. Crazy world.

It was my 30th birthday on the actual 9/11. Was a very surreal day.

 

At least friends and family have no excuse to forget my birthday now!

And the really terrible thing is how much innocent blood has been spilled because of it in the 25 years since.

One thing that accelerated after the terrible events of 9/11 was the end of the US romantic view of the IRA
