Seems inevitable that the club will need outside investment. King Power seems in diassary now that having political friends isn't as effective as it once was.

It’s just occurred to me that we are very unlikely to be able to rely on KP to pump in a decent amount in shirt sponsorship like a couple of years ago. Recon that might see a big drop in sponsorship for us while not in the Prem.

It should really bother us more that our owners are on the brink in their business right? But no, I guess most of us are unbothered by this or actively pleased.

Of course I feel for the every day people in Thailand who work for the company and hopefully they will be on whatever happens.

But the idea of Aiyawatt losing his business and money and having to work a normal job is quite amusing (as unlikely as that scenario is).

Seems at least possible that the earlier transfer of the ownership of the club from King Power to Aiyawatt may well have been, at least in part, designed as a means of protecting and distancing the club from the financial and political problems being experienced by King Power in Thailand and in so doing, securing his personal ownership of the club for the future.

The vile and vicious comments on this forum towards the chairman, are really quite disgusting. Yes we know he has messed up at times since he was thrust into the chair, but there are many good things he and his family have done for our club and City since they came in. I really hope that those on here who are posting these comments, will not be attending matches next season. If not, you can satisfy yourselves that you apparently are the only ones who care about our club, because your vicious comments mean in your heads, that you are the true fans and the ones attending, are only going out of habit. Has it never occurred to you that we actually watch City because we support them, we don’t enjoy seeing them relegated, but we stick by them in the bad times. What is it some of you sing? In the good times and the bad we always back the lads, that’s a joke.Vichai would be turning in his grave if he witnessed the hate aimed at his son.

I take your point, but don't believe that because we continue to support the club, the ownership and management of the club should be exempt from all criticism in the way you seem to be suggesting.

We can understandable forget about the notion of meaningful investment for the foreseeable future. If KP are on the brink of collapse back home, they will hardly show a hint of using their dispensable income here.

Time to sell up and sort out their problems closer to home.

Looks like we are going to be in limbo land for a while until King Power sort themselves out. This is not a preseason that looks as though it will be a prelude to a successful season. A new manager may come in and find themselves hobbled within a month or 2.

Story in Thailands main English media outlet today.

Looks like a complete hit piece from the Thai media establishment on King Power and our beloved Chairman

I’d suggest any political/royal protection they had is fading based on this being published

“financial pariah” and “strategic desperation” are some of the  phrases being used

I fear we might be about to find out why PSR is so important......

It shouldn't in itself affect the running of the football club as it's supposed to self supporting, KP can't just chuck money at the football even if it wanted to. What it probably does is put the end to any idea of the stadium and surrounding developments which would have been funded off the back of KP.

A less-than-flattering portrayal of Aiyawatt & co.

But this outlet is apparently known for twisting tales to fit its own agenda - a Thai equivalent of GB News, perhaps?

The City owner, whatever troubles he may have in Thailand, will continue to rub shoulders with our own royal elite at polo matches in England.

I think he'd probably be more pissed off with the absolute shitshow that's been served up personally but maybe you think less of him than you think.

The walls are closing in on King Power; the sooner they move on from Leicester City, the better.
