Annoying release clause. Basically like 

loaning him. It didn’t matter how good he got. Just developing him for someone else who is not run like we are and that we used to compete with. Albeit taking all the risk. However you spin it, it’s very depressing.

Monga plays 10, as can  Paige /Alves. Also Ayew if we get a striker.

Yeah they usually are, which is why some clubs often pay more to spread payment or load attainable add ons.

 

Also this release clause will be due to relegation, unthinkable that we'd have put this in as standard.

I can’t see him leaving to be honest. We all know how good he is, but his figures for last season don’t warrant a £22m price tag at this time……. I think a year at this level will do him wonders, he will comfortably be the best player in the league, January would be the time to worry about losing him, but we could ramp the price up if necessary.

Ideal! However, we could have a major problem come January with the amount of AFCON players we have. Fatawu, Ayew, Daka potentially Kone if he joins (and gets called up) Bilal…… could be interesting. Obviously it’s hypothetical but still…..

We have 3 or 4 players who are prem quality and will ensure we're fighting for promotion. I really think we need to hold onto them and look to recoup money elsewhere. We've shown it can be done with Coady. BEK, Mads, Abdul et.al need to stay unless the money is too good to turn down.

Ghana didn't qualify so Ayew and Fatawu will be here and Ivory Coast have a fair amount of high profile strikers. It is very doubtful they call up Kone.
