I keep hearing and reading the club have lied to managers, but then direct quotes from the likes of Maresca suggest that they held the people who ran the club is high regard.

Personally, I don't think there is active lying going on, but instead an overly optimistic version of events. But then things aren't working out with PSR or there are new developments in relation to it, causing the sudden switch in position. I suspect that's what happened in January when the club decided not to spend more when relegation was looking likely and knew a PSR punishment was likely following the tribunal.

And similarly with Maresca and Rodgers - when European football wasn't secured, the board decided to switch the spending taps off.

But it adds up to the same thing as you end up alienating managers, however well intentioned.

Tanner had confirmed as much about PSR meaning the club have gone back on pledges - they need to bite the bullet and move on as it’s heavily damaged the club in multiple seasons now and damaged trust not only with the manager but the fans as well:

“Such a waste of money hampered Van Nistelrooy, who had said he was given assurances when discussing the position with Leicester that there would be funds available. When the January transfer window came around, that assurance faded, with the club’s ongoing concerns over profitability and sustainability rules (PSR) overriding any pledges.”

Can you imagine if managers didn't get the pay off for non disclosure? This club would have been exposed ****ing years ago and we might have been saved all this shit show.

A nice £8m pay off and Brendan can't speak highly enough of Susan Whelan and Rudders.

He was absolutely useless so glad he's gone, but even the BBC leading with the line "9 weeks after relegation" just reinforces what a laughing stock we've become.

They clearly don't !

He has left "with immediate effect" which puts any compensation he is due in this year's accounts as there is a known liability at the year's end (Monday).

Unless they are saying one thing and doing another as normal 🙄

Has someone just come back off holiday or something?

What a complete cluster **** in terms of timing and clarity.

Wouldn't surprise me if Ruud instigated it because nobody has spoken to him at all.

That article from Percy goes a long way to showing that the manager whoever they could be isn’t the biggest issues at our club. Player’s sense of entitlement and pure incompetence higher up the ladder is holding us back.

I don't think people are quite getting the player power side of things here. Absolute joke that an owner is consistently siding with a set of players he's overpaid and that is the root of the financial situation at LCFC.

OK. So I’ve checked Röhl out on Wikipedia and it’s a green light from me.

I’ve gleaned some interesting facts:

* His name’s Röhl, not Rohl, which means all our fan base will pronounce it incorrectly, like they did with Pyool.

* He’s only 36.

* He’s from proper East Germany, so he’s likely to bring some sadistic Stasi-inspired methods with him.

* He’s done alright at Sheff Weds.

* He used to work at Southampton, so of course our board want him.

He was also the assistant manager at Bayern Munich and the German national team.

At some point this week RVN would have genuinely needed to know if he should be flying back to the UK or not. That could have genuinely prompted this.

They've sacked him today but it's when money leaves our accounts that is important - maybe we're paying him that after 1st July.

It will be as simple as that.

Boom 💥 what we are all thinking , nailed it. However the club as per will say sweet FA

Winter spot on and alot of the noise on these pages would go away if there was a trusted line of communication from the club.

Wasn’t Cooper sacked because players had downed tools, now RVN I did point this out never going to work letting players be in control

Leaving with immediate effect, probably means gardening leave until July 1st knowing our lot.

It’s a corporate way of saying we don’t want him at training on Monday.
