There’s only one problem with ‘ Barca- inspired tactics’. You need a rock solid defense to pull them off…

I'm going to assume the inspiration is Peps 6 second press.  And it probably ends there.

Just nice they’ve not plumped for the name right in front of them and are showing any semblance of some balls.

Very surprised to see quite a negative response to Martí, personally I’m very happy with the appointment. With the team he took over and the style he implemented with the same squad that was playing Ainsworth ball, they played quality attacking football. Fast paced attacking possession football.

Obviously the majority wanted Rohl but Marti is a very good appointment who I think the fans will like very quickly.

“That’s why adaptation is so important,” he says. “In Norway [with Sandefjord], the first game we had 70 percent possession, playing well in many aspects - and we lost 2-0 in two corner kicks. I was defending pure zonal, that in Spain worked really well for me. And suddenly I face three big Norwegian centre-halves… the game was over!”

More experience than Enzo and not as rigid.

I’d say it’s more positive on the majority.

After a brief 5 minutes browsing him on TikTok and because they have drained every drop of fight out of me that I’m beyond caring anymore…….

Go on then, Gerrim’ in!

An intriguing choice and that is what we need. Rohl was my preferred choice but this is fine. Still concerned about the short time before the season for him to get settled in.

Agreed. In our game at the King Power, which they won, I was extremely impressed by them. Their positional play off the ball for just a few months was honestly amazing, and the signs of a good coach. They also played in a way to allow us to have possession in areas they wanted us to have it in, and made it difficult for us to get going. The thing that impressed me the most with Enzo is that I saw the identity and patterns of play immediately. The players got it and were able to execute. Cifuentes was able to do the same.

The big question mark is why did it go wrong this season? I know he was not backed fully by the board and this left him frustrated, but that could easily happen with our current board too.

However, in my mind I am thinking of a Cruyff style 433 with Fatawu and Mavididi on the wings, rotating with Monga as the 10 and Ricardo as the Foxes version of Dani Alves. And it feels a bit naughty in a good way to think of such things! The only issue is the striker, but we will probably loan one in for the season.

I don't think this guy is the next big thing in football. My preferred candidate was Carlos Cuesta, the new manager at Parma, who is 30 years old and was Arteta's assistant. But I think this is actually a good pick for our current squad and situation.

I am actually happy with this one if true.

I have a couple of questions if anyone knows.

1. what is he like at bringing through youth?
2. Does he come with staff? If so, who are they?
3. Is his English good?
4. what were QPR fans genuine opinion of him?

cheers

5. Why isn't he dyche?
