Will get the usual 15+ games from me before I start judging either way.

It is important he sees his error starting Soumare and Skipp today and doesn't make that mistake again.

I also think he needs to quickly recognise that we need players in who are motivated to do well for us. Players like Vestergaard are just going through the motions here and I genuinely don't think cares whether we win or lose.

A couple of questionable selections but he changed things proactively. Given how little time he has been given and not being given the chance (yet) to bring anyone in (I don’t count a 38 year old back up GK), he needs to have time to bed things in.

First game, he'll have time to learn the best 11 and how to use them, the window isn't over so may not even be possible to field the best team come September.

As others have said was nice to see he's not afraid to use all his subs.

Hopefully won't take too long for things to click and we seem more comfortable in games.

Hated that he started Soumare and Skipp, but loved that he pulled Skipp at half-time.

Monga was also a great decision and shows he has faith in his youngsters.

I wasn't keen on Fatuwa change but we got the win anyway and I can see why Fatuwa might need some protection early on.
The big thing for me now, is if he has learned from that first half and his selection. He cannot start Skipp and Soumare again.

Top has to help him out with 3-4 signings too. Striker, x2 CM's and a LB
Difficult to judge how good we actually were in the second half, but there were some good signs that hopefully will be repeated in tougher games ahead.

Sheff Weds with the early injury and red card certainly helped him, but would still give him a B- for this first game with the Skipp sub his redeemer.

He is proactive rather than reactive.
Could have easily kept Skipp on.
Seems like he’ll learn from his mistakes which is completely opposite to Ruud.
Getting Fatuwo and Mavididi to come inside in the second half made a huge difference.
On another day we win that game by 4 or 5.

Early days so not too much judgement from me. Was very disappointed with the reaction to our second though. First thought was immediately to time waste against a team that barely had a jab in them, never mind a knockout blow.

First game out the way now and he'll be learning about this group every time they step out onto the pitch. As long as he adapts and improves us as we go along then I'll be happy.

Dreadful, who comes up with a system that Skippy is you most advanced CM, and Soumare who can't defend shielding the back 4.

That's a huge worry for me. Have to be honest. We all knew that combination was never going to work...

You can't go playing soumare and skipp as the two in midfield

Hopefully he learns from this cuz if he doesn't I will be deeply concerned

At times skipp looked like a striker

And that's ridiculous 🙄

It’s going to take time for him to learn his best 11 unfortunately

Those Peterborough and Leuven friendly games would’ve been perfect for him and the incompetence of the club took that away from him.

Midfield was non existent first half and he rectified that by hooking Skipp, went to a 3-2-5 later in the game and ultimately his subs made a difference!

Would’ve been easier to make like-for-like substitutes so I admire the bravery!

An important win to start and he’d have learnt so much again today, onwards and upwards 🦊

Big fan of the striker for defender 👏

Gotta applaud that kind of decision easier when opposition have ten men I know but still love the positive sub
