He’s frustrating because he just doesn’t concentrate for long enough. I know it’s lazy to compare but there were the same problems with Pepe and ndombele, the nonchalant approach in france doesn’t work when players in England tend to be aggressive in defending. 
 

His ability has never been in question for me. Any good manager is going to want to fix him, because you will see the potential but it will be down to soumare if he makes a success of himself

Soumare signed in July 2021 and has shown absolutely nothing. Can't believe he's still starting games for us more than 4 years later.

Decent side, at least we expel the baggage and get some new lads in. its a strong bench o youth, and Nelson was never going to start first game imo, lets give the manager a chance.

Soumare has been decent for Sevilla and for us in the premier league… compared to winks who has only ever been decent in the championship. 
 

Soumare may be the same inconsistent wet wipe in this league but we don’t know that yet. Hopefully, against weaker opposition he can show what he can do. Maybe not.  But I can understand why you’d want to take a look as a manager

Well he looked like a player that powered things forward when we signed him.

 

All his highlights montages showed a powerful player who moved the ball over the halfway line, and that progression towards the final third was what seemed to fizzle out as time went by under Enzo.

 

I'd love him to become that ball carrier.

Wednesday have actually kept on to more players than I thought they had, their team can cause problems if we start slowly. Expecting a comfortable result for the most part but they can't be written off for a snatch and grab if we don't have our shooting boots on.

I've been saying all week that their starting 11 will be experienced in this league. We should still have enough, but we've got to do more than just step onto the pitch to get a result here.
