Popular Post jonny_wright Posted 11 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 11 August 2025 Breaks my heart what’s happening to this club, a fire sale of all the saleable talent, whilst the mercenaries stay on fat wages, slowly bleeding this club dry…. It Fatawu gets sold that’s promotion done too 6

We're selling everyone without buying a soul. If we sell Fatawu, it's because something much, much bigger is wrong at the club than we realise. Some people might realise more than you think 🤔 But silence is golden as the old song goes 1
ts_1010 Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 We are looking at losing Bilal and Abdul. We're going to need a replacement winger, 2 cams, a striker. All in the last few weeks of of the window. The most ineffective admin team in the league is going to be scrambling to get deals over the line. If Abdul leaves this season is over, we would be doing a full rebuild, over a couple of seasons.
Jattdogg Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 Sell fatawu for 45 mill then be forced to panic buy a shit replacement for 40 mill on high wages over 5 years . Sounds about right for rudkin. 2
FoxesWalk Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 If they can’t afford Dibling this is a non starter presumably 4

Sly Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 If we sell Fatawu, Winks and BEK, we may as well all give up at this point. 1 1

Added with a points deduction and the probability of a drop in morale mid table would beckon. Literally anything could happen and we don’t really know how much financial trouble we are in if any.
Dan Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 I'm somebody who generally believes in selling to reinvest and if we got an offer of something crazy like £50mil you'd probably have to take it - but I really don't think our hierarchy would even be capable of getting the deals in to make use of that money and we would only end up throwing in the fire which our consistent decline is spreading. If we sell him we will not go up, it's everything we don't need. 3

I might be giving the board a bit too much credit in terms of how badly they would spend that money but I do think any player going for 40m would not sign for a championship team.
MPH Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 Could it possibly new contract time and his agent at work?
FosseSpark Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 It is simple. If El Khannous, Fatawu and 1 of our experienced defenders go; Justin, Faes or Vestergaard, in this window, to add to Hermansen and Ndidi then we will finish midtable at the very best this season. Presuming we are being advised or are unable to bring anyone in of any quality. We are getting to the point soon where the purge of League One might become necessary again to change the ownership and direction of the Club. It's clear that the only money talking at the moment is American or Emirate. So the sooner we get on that train the better. 1
OntarioFox Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 (edited) My head and heart say hell f***ing no, sell him and we riot. The devil on my shoulder though? It says it's the straw that breaks the camel's back and leads to A) a full squad turnover once the wastemen like Faes and Soumare realise we're stuck in the Championship for the forseeable and force moves and B) a tipping point in getting the majority of the fanbase turned against KPFC steering the ship into every iceberg they can find. I've already passed the point of even caring what happens this season, the club needs change and this could be the lightning rod to kick the wider fanbase up the arse. He's our most popular player, I doubt he wants to leave, and if he does go it's going to be a board decision, not his. Fatawu is that important to our season. I personally think we can afford to lose BEK given we have a few options that can play centrally (Ayew, McAteer, Mavididi), but if Abdul goes we're relying on Stephy and a 16 year old kid to cover our creativity on both wings. We're done as a serious force if that happens. Edited 11 August 2025 by OntarioFox 2

I don’t want pain for our club but more doom and gloom is required for anything significant to change. So please more shite players and more high wages are the only way out of this complete mess. Spend spend spend until it’s all gone. I want this Bstd out of our club once and for all !
Twitcher Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 Everyone saying about if the club sell. What if, just what if, Fatawu and BEK do, or already have done an Isak? What then? Why wouldn't they want to play at a higher level? Fatawu will be gutted he missed an entire Premier League campaign. Mads. did it. Why not them? As much as I despair about the club's transfer approach, if they're told by an agent that their player wants to leave, and will sit in the reserves and take their wages, if they can't go, you're snookered. I thought Mads. was a real talent, and West Ham have picked up a bargain. So, if the worst happens, Im afraid the signs aren't good, that we'll even get what we should for them. Worrying, but not unexpected times. Massive youth re-build and several years outside the Prem. incoming 🫤
Jon the Hat Posted 12 August 2025 Posted 12 August 2025 Would be shame to lose him for sure, but this is our reality at the moment.
teblin Posted 12 August 2025 Posted 12 August 2025 I think it would take a crazy offer for him to be sold. Unless as some other have said the financial position is so bad PSR is less of an issue than cash flow

Why are we cutting ourselves off at the knees? Does top & Rudkin not want us back in the premier league? absolute bollox! It just can't happen but nothing surprises with me with this club in the last few years, we sell them both then we finish mid-table at best

It isn’t Marti’s fault the club have failed to move these players on, we have had countless windows to shift VK, Soumare, Faes, Daka etc especially when you consider many of these were eyeing the exit door after our first relegation. Guess what they are all still here stinking the gaff out whilst we added the likes of Skipp, Reid and to a lesser degree Ayew last summer which has only made the situation worse. Years of mediocre recruitment of players on inflated fees and bloated contracts has come home to roost, the one person who cannot be held to account is Marti who know has to cobble together a competitive side from what is here and how he is being directed to utilise the resources at his disposal. Some selections will have one eye on departures and having players in the shop window. I really feel for the manager given the shit show of a squad he has inherited as a result of piss poor recruitment and an inability to move on players.
