Lots of new faces in the section today and if the result was better i think fingers crossed it may be better this year but my god has it got to change on the pitch..

Yes drum moved more central and up two rows to try something different.

 

As above, the section as a whole felt refreshed and positive before the players ruined everyone's mood. Good few rows at top of SK2 standing and getting involved. I think once we get something to get behind on the pitch it will be banging in that corner.

Having recently moved up to deepest Scouseland, I can absolutely confirm that civic pride is alive and well most places north of Nottingham. Sheffield was the same while I was at uni many years ago. It's quite refreshing (and infectious) to be surrounded every day by people who talk up their hometown instead of taking every opportunity to shit on it.

Disagree on the not singing certain songs thing. It’s lyrics that all of a sudden folk take a view they are some oath. Leicester aint the greatest team the world has ever see , Iwan doesn't live in a council flat.

 

Tifo didn’t really hit as planned I don’t think, however it had a message I personally really can get behind.

Regarding the song it chimed well a couple of years after the title.. but this is the only chant in the song book which hits different. Through the good times and the bad we always back the lads..  
So when we sing Leicester till i die, is that a song that is just words and can mean anything? I would say no and thats oath as you say.. everyone’s choice I suppose 👌

One request of mine, is can people stop shouting 'who!?' when opposition make subs and they are beating us. Doesnt matter if you have never heard of their version of Delap, when we have Okoli, Souttar, McCarthy, Skipp and Bobby Reid.

I was thinking this today too. "Who?" works when you're genuinely good and are taking the piss out of a shite team, or sarcastically pretending not to know who Ronaldo is. It doesn't quite work when you're getting battered by fodder

I researched it after the game and we have played 43 home league matches since the start of the 2024/25 season, across three separate divisions. We have fallen 2-0 down on 17 occasions. That doesn't include two matches where we were beaten 3-1.

 

Can you blame the supporters for getting rattled? The place is associated with misery and failure.

Any stadium that needs a drum in it just proves how p1ss poor that atmosphere has become, it’s a football match, not a sound check with Ringo Starr.

Word on the attendance/Bums on seats yesterday.

 

1K Burton in a 3.3K away end.

 

Home end looked about 75-80% full so I reckon true attendance was around 23,500. 
 

Means that, with general sale and other sales that it’s likely 3-4,000 ST holders didn’t turn up today.

That is quite some damage and explains a lot. I know we have lost a lot, but that is ridiculous. Not factoring in falling down the leagues!

The problem is it becomes a vicious cycle, because our frustration and anger is always going to impact the players to a greater or lesser degree. Like others have said, particularly the younger ones!

A lot has been said about the booing but that was mainly after the second goal I think. The whole central spine particularly CBs made so many  mistakes and  it was surreal and not surprisingly moans and groans were inevitable throughout . Things boiled over a bit towards the manager when Bristric Alves and Burns came off after 55 mins because they were probably as effective as anyone against a physical outfit like Burton. At lease most people stayed until the last few minutes

Stadiums don't need drums but they help. So much easier to start chants than one bloke who cannot be heard. Additionally it helps keep time, something 90% of football fans are incapable of. Hence chants without drums get mumbled after 1, max 2 repetitions.

 

Have you ever seen games across the border or in Europe? I don't think those atmospheres are poor. And almost all include drums. Everything works better when well organised.

 

Whether you like the sound of a drum is an opinion and that is fair. However, making a statement that drums mean a poor atmosphere is rubbish.

Is it the players fault though? (A gebuine question). We all know they cannot play the style they are being asked. Our opposition know that as well and just press us till we make a mistake. The players know that and are waiting to make a mistake. 

It is probably why players do better when they leave, they are not asked to play a certain way. 

Recruitment has failed if it is recruitment for this style of play. We now need to be clear as a club we can't play this way and make the changes!

From what I have seen, the likes of Joseph, Braybrooke, Alves and Page are popular. Burns seems a trier, as does Bristric. Not sure about Chaplin yet obviously, hopefully McFarlane does well.

 

It is Thomas, Okoli, Choudhury, Skipp, Reid that are the issue. Going back to the last League One season, you had Howard and Oakley who had won promotion to the Premier League 15 months before and an excellent professional in Powell around the squad. We are sorely lacking leaders.

still is the players fault to a large degree and that's not me defending the recruitment policy and the tactics but if you can't string a coherent pass together or your stinking the club out for a long time like skipp has then you need to take accountability and some blame - Luke Thomas for instance has been outclassed under numerous managers in 3 divisions he clearly isn't good enough and that's putting it simply

My point was the atmosphere must be p1ss poor (in the first place)  if you need a drum, they were never around 25 years ago in the UK and foreign teams copied our chants. Each to their own of course but give me Filbert St for atmosphere over the dirge we have now.

I completely agree, I would do the same. They would need a little time though and the patients to make sone mistakes. I could get behind that though because they are developing proffesionally. I fear the club wants a quick fix though. 😭
