The blinkered King Power Brigade and the more realistic Toxic fans have to unite and back the lads and the manager.

This season isn't a quick fix.

Cifuentes has to root out the bad, bring on some kids and hopefully gets to integrate a couple of signings.

All this after being appointed on the eve of the season almost.

We have to unite as one in support of the team.

Think sadly we'll be coming back with 0 points going for a disappointing 2-1 defeat once again. Hope I'm wrong but can't see much improvement on Saturday.

Hopefully !

Sod it - play the kids and those who seem up for being here.

Jakub

Riccy

Okoli

Nelson

Thomas

Page

Winks (only one on this list who I’m skeptical over being invested for we’ve got F all else)

Fatawu

Monga

Mavidid

Daka (yes he’s crap but I dislike Ayew more so he gets the nod)

I reckon BEK will play.

I do love how as a fanbase even though we have had all the memories of the last decade, we still talk about Charlton away in 2005 like we are still one of those clubs without a lot to shout about.

I genuinely can’t see how we win…. We can’t defend the transition at all, and have a bunch of players who don’t give a shit….. any team with a smidge of fight will beat us. This is a nailed on defeat for me.

Genuinely a tough game, and hate to say it but a win will paper over the cracks and Rudkin and co will think all is well. We could do with getting beaten to make the circus take note and start bringing fresh faces in.

2-0 Charlton

Any game we start Luke Thomas, Vestergaard, Soumare and Ayew together on, we will lose. I actually can’t see where our next win comes from….. I think we’re in for a run of defeats on a row here, such is the current shambolic state of the club.

We need Marti to do a Nigel Pearson moment. Does anyone else remember against (I think, Palace, 2012-2013), where he randomly gave debuts to Moore and Kennedy, like completely unexpectedly. I just felt like a "**** this, we're playing shit, let's at least play with people who give a damn". And it worked, got the fans behind the team.

Hopefully Page starts and Monga.

2-0 Charlton

It's a fair sentiment but it falls down when you think that Preston should have catalysed a similar reaction. All that ended up happening was us selling McAteer and being on the brink of losing our two most creative players in BEK and Abdul.

You could take a poo on Rudkin's desk and it'd take him three months to smell it. :dunno:

Got a nice weekend in London coming up. Train to St Pancras. Lime bikes through London to the Valley. Take in the game. Then the rest of Saturday and Sunday exploring pubs, watching SSN and various games. Sat evening at the Cheese Barge in Paddington. Going to enjoy it no matter the result, albeit with a win capping off a great weekend.

I've watched us at The Valley about five times and never seen us won. My only positive memory of the place is a late equaliser from Les Ferdinand. Weirdly I think Charlton scored twice on every occasion I've seen us play there.

I can't make it tomorrow, so we'll likely win.

Im like that with cov.  Ive never seen us beat them home or away ever.  And bear in mind this started with the game against them in our first season in the premier league under brian little in 1994.  All draws and losses since!  I couldnt make the game at KP 2 years ago and we won!  Typical !

So you missed the 1-0 win at the Ricoh on the opening day of 2011/12 under Sven when we were so optimistic and thought that Gelson Fernandes was the new Patrick Vieira? A pity - that was a fun day. Sven was sacked a few months later mind…

I mean it was probably the highlight of 2004-2008. Not sure why you can't have more than one fond memory. There's always going to be some more significant than others
