I was thinking this yesterday. Do they actually take annual team photos with everyone on anymore? The sort of thing you would get as a double page spread in "Shoot", "Match" or even the Mercury.

I think the last one I saw was after we won the FA Cup and the shield? Guess the owner not being around anymore kind of kills it, no way they'd take one without the main man.

Strange that neither Carranza or Ramsey went for 11 now that Bilal has gone. I assume that that number would be available.

Full respect if Carranza is going down the Zamorano 1+8 theory.

 

I imagine this shows we quite hopeful of turning James permanent in the summer, whereas Ramsey is very much a one year loan deal.

 

i wonder if 11 was kept free for a potential winger, Rak Sakyi was mentioned

Maybe because Bilal's already worn it in a Championship game this season? Not sure if two players can wear the same number in the same season.

Those squad picture calendars you'd get hanging in the chippy, with the fixtures on, it would be a bit redundant now with all the date changes. The printing of them was heavily sponsored (covered in ads), another thing that's changed!

Shame. Not bothered about the owner or board, just be nice to get a squad photo of players and staff. I used to enjoy getting the squad photos from magazines or sometimes the club.

When I got my junior membership in 1994, they made up for lost time by sending me the 94/95, 93/94 AND 92/93 squad photos
