Covs gameplan is to try and control the game as much as possible and have pot shots from anywhere. They don’t tend to create many big chances and rather have a shoot on site approach from anywhere.

They do have shots but also create. Their XG on Saturday was 4.02.

Yeah which was from 28 shots.

Their xG against QPR was comically low considering they won 7-1.

Something like 1.6 IIRC.

Incredible that they score a shit spawny goal from 4.02 xG but 7 goals against v QPR from an xG of 1 lol

I was going to post that as well lol Can remember at the time seeing that when they put 7 past QPR.

I'm not so confident with them shooting constantly at us, especially when you look at the first goal we conceded at Oxford.

It should be a good game. In the games we've won the shots have just kept going in. In the games we have drawn we should have won comfortably. Last game Norwich fell over as soon as we looked at them. They got 2 cards for time wasting in the 1st half including the GK. It didn't stop him as he went down another 3 times in the 2nd half without anyone near him. They certainly parked the bus as we had 15 blocked shots. We had 52 touches inside their penalty area.

We're playing great attacking football both home and away. Our biggest problem has been letting in set pieces. The goal Norwich scored was the first goal we conceded from open play. Our GK has hardly made a save. Norwich 1 shot on target 1 goal. Hull 3 shots on target 2 goals. QPR scored their only shot on target.

Been looking forward to this one. Our first game against a side that should be in the mix for promotion with the addition of being away. We've outplayed our opponents in just about every game so it will be good to compare ourselves to a top side.

We need a convincing performance which we haven't seen all season.

Not even sure we do, a finely ground out result like against Charlton would suffice it’s just whether they have that in them

If you’re wanting to compare against a top side then you’re in the wrong place. Now **** off back to 6fingerrattalk

Cba with this sort of "we don't care about you" rivalry snobbery.

Leave that shite to Forest.

IMO it's a massive game for both sides.

It’s almost like what I have written was obviously not to be taken seriously and to just poke a bit of fun at them

It is very obviously a big game for both teams

I will put a /s on my posts in future like they do on Reddit to make it clear for you next time

Think we win this 2-0

Based on what?

Hope your right and it would be a big result as they can be quite effective.

A loss would be unacceptable for sure

It's obviously bigger for them.

Whilst they have been treading water with the other minnows we have been on the adventure of a lifetime with proper big games, cup finals etc.  I had forgotten what a Coventry was.

It may be over now, but given our recent history it's difficult to get excited about Cov at home.

For them, on the other hand, this game is about as big as it gets. And I expect them to win for that reason.

Big game for Cov

F*** me that's tragic. I appreciate playing this rabble more frequently nowadays, it's a timely reminder that, despite our decline, it could be worse. For some clubs, even ones on an upward trajectory, playing Leicester City is the best it gets. :crylaugh:

Maybe a compliment  to us, remembering we were in the Premier League last season

The 4-1 loss to Forest was at the time a big game for them but we had many bigger games around that time.

In hindsight though that game and result was significant, felt like it marked the end of our best ever era.
