Expected.  Away fron home Marti isnt the most risk adverse, the kids are parked amd he has gone for the safe option.

 

Hopefully we get to see.more Carranza, to disrupt the current team.

Nelson hasn't done enough to earn selection, nor is there a real reason to change the defence. If he's good enough his time will come.

 

Soumare's pretty cack, but I'd pick him over Skipp if JJ is needed upfield.

 

If Carranza is any good he'll take Ayew's place, but he's got to show something off the bench. Call it an incentive.

 

Mav's not our biggest problem by any means. He could win this for us. Sure Jeremy could reach an entirely different level, but we do need to be careful with such a young lad.

Yuck.  Another game where he will waste the first half.  Not sure this manager has any new ideas or tactics to get the best out of them.  Let’s keep playing the same useless players the same way.

Ayew at 9 aside… yes it’s probably our strongest side. Every time we’ve taken Ayew out of the 9 we have improved imo. Regardless of who has gone up there instead of him.

Alright I think it's about time we start a "Soumaré - what does he have on all the managers that start him" thread. 

 

Maybe he has something on Top and Top insists he plays. No other explanation as he is undoubtedly one of the worst footballers to play for this club in recent times and still plays every game.

The negativity on this forum is like a virus, starting to visit less and less.

 

Last week was frustrating without necessarily being poor. Let Carranza get up to speed then he'll come in. Ramsey plays once he's back and James moves into Soumare's position (who wasn't even that bad last week)

Effectively playing with 10 having Soumare on the pitch.

 

Ayew will probably spend most of his time on his arse looking for free kicks or getting a nose bleed near their 18 Yd box and continue with his back passing routine. 

I fear even as a 10 he'd do much the same instead of supporting the No9

I think some of the comments about red flags regards Marti are a bit over the top to be honest. Yes I get some people are frustrated that certain players are still in the team and others aren’t in the squad, however we are not seeing these players in training. 
 

Just my thoughts, Soumare is only still in the team because of Ramsey’s red card. Page as promising as he is, isn’t ready to be a starter in the championship, he is very lightweight and needs to develop, he is 17 years old, it would be crazy to start him in a game like this away from home. 
 

Nelson is in competition with Vestergaard and whilst has a higher ceiling, Jannick is in possession of the shirt and has had a very good start to the season. 
 

As for Ayew, I think Carranza isn’t ready for 90 minutes yet, and Daka is muck. 
 

Monga is better suited off the bench for now.

I don't agree with this. Ayew absolutely *isn't* good enough for us at CF - too slow. Hopefully Carranza will be a better option, but let's see if he steps forward.
