Playing rubbish like that no playoffs for us

We have had to get rid of a lot of deadwood, sure some of it is around… but I’ll call that a decent result. Then again I never expected us to be challenging top six

1st half we we miles better. But created nothing. 2nd half we were poor and got away with it.

Cant really judge carranza as didn’t really get much of the ball other than the wayward shot.

Ayew slows it all down too much.

Abdul poor tonight, as were most of them.

The guy looked poor, but I give players chances… he needs to settle in

Totally fair comment….  I just can’t see him contributing….  I am very keen to proven wrong

Come on, we are not a poor side from a Championship perspective. Nor are West Brom though!

Not by this years standard. The whole league looks much worse than it was just two years ago,

Most of the dead wood is in the first 11!

Those people saying lucky draw what game were you watching? West Brom basically played as the away team. They literally didn’t want the ball and tried to pack the defence and play on the break. We just were very poor in front of goal tonight. Other than  that we totally dominated the game, the possession and the chances. West Brom are no mugs despite getting written off on here. They have real quality at this level. Iling Jnr, Johnston, Price, would be assets in our team, plus  lots of prem experience at the back.

They're very average. Goals win games, we bank on fatawu curler every game

Quite simply lacking balance and it's restricting our ability to get into the final 3rd and play the final ball. We have a lot of the ball but no end product.

You’d need to write a thesis to analyse that.

In short…..

Persisting with Ayew is killing our attack.

Poor decision to sub James, completely removed any of our drive through the middle of the pitch.

Carranza looks like Argentinas answer to Tom cannon.

Daka probably has to start now or at least be given a chance.

James has to start as part of the double pivot.

Marti needs to sit down and have a long think about things. Again, we get away with it….Some poor decisions from him again today, it’s getting a bit annoying now.

We were the better team in terms of our passing game, but it was largely ineffective for most of the game.

Finally, Bobby Reid is god.

Soumare and Mavididi were two of our better players today

I'll admit Soumare had a decent last 20 - when we were chaotic and out of shape and he had an excuse to go on his barnstorming runs. The rest of the game largely passed him by. Again. And his collective brainfart with Vesty in the middle set their goal in motion.

Think we were watching two different games with Stephy - thought he was yet again completely devoid of ideas and running into cul-de-sacs. While we were worse second half, we looked more dangerous down that side once Monga came on - it was just sods' law that Fatawu started to tire at that point and lost his own ability to beat a man.

Another bang average performance. The only time we play decent football is when it’s in areas that don’t actually pose a threat. We ping 3-4 first time passes around then create nothing with the overloads.

We are too easy to defend against, all they have to do is force us onto the wings and double up on Mavididi/Fatawu, they are forced to either cross it into absolutely nobody or produce a magic strike.

We have Monga, Mavididi and Fatawu, all 3 of them should be cheat codes in this division yet our system is currently forcing them to produce miracles because they have basically no support from anyone else.

Ayew and Mavididi need to be hooked for a few games. Marti is creating problems then people are crediting him for fixing them.

Absolutely hate possession football. Especially when you’re not very good at it.

Good enough. The lads stuck at it. A point away from home against West Brom is well-earned. Some of Cifuente's subs were puzzling. Carranza for one.

West Brom were dreadful in my opinion.

Agree to disagree.

Not really had a chance to yet, we surely aren’t expecting instant impact with the way our club has been run right..  it’s why I like Marti, just slowing things down… understanding where we sit.

Mavididi was a definite positive tonight. Had a good first half and looked sharp.

Struggled with the rest of the team in the second half, but I still think he ends up having a good season.

Tried too hard. Overplaying it. Giving away fouls. Never rated him to be honest.

I thought he was mostly rubbish and ineffective to be honest.
