What's left to say, basically everything people have been warning of for years is coming true and then some. We're a total shell. Half a dozen games to ruin Jordan James as well.

Thought James looked dreadful yesterday. He’s well and truly been Leicestered

Yep ironically other than that surge down the right to cross to Daka to head into the keepers arms, showing actually how easy it is to create chances in this poverty league.

OK I'm still pissed as was on a proper all dayer. Sis inlaw over from aus and her birthday. That last shit should be in brackets and so should this.

The last time we lost 1-0 at Millwall  we won the league maybe it's a sign.

OK i think i should go back to sleep and sleep this off.

Absolutely every ounce of disappointment & frustration from this result has been overridden with the sheer joy of seeing Forest lose again.

To make it even better, Burnley have won to create even more of a gap!

Yes, some bit of enjoyment football wise from the weekend.

Did anyone watch with the Millwall iFollow commentary on yesterday?

They had an old school Alan Young type commentator on who sounded a bit like Ray Winston.

Highlight for me was this clanger from him - "I'm surprised Aaron Ramsey is playing, he was always injured for Cardiff"

Worst thing was we were subjugated to it in the US. Genuinely threw my phone when he roared for their goal.

Amateur from paramount.

Having watched the extended highlights, we created enough chances to score before Thomas couldn't defend a simple long ball for their goal.

Thomas again ****ed up for the Winks penalty and was rightfully subbed.

Marti made changes, had all 3 strikers on at one point before replacing Ayew with Mavididi.

We still created chances to equalize before Daka missed that sitter right at the end from the JJ run and cross.

Marti has to drop Thomas, and maybe give Carranza an extended run starting and now find a replacement for the injured Ramsey, hopefully Page.

JJ looked a great player, and has to stay at 8.

For all those wanting Marti sacked I'd love to know what more you think he can do with this squad he's been given?

The names on paper might look like a strong squad, but the reality is far from that, with confidence still very low from last seasons relegation.

Sacking the manager isn't going to change anything IMO.

Didn't watch the game myself but have watched highlights and looked at the stats - don't think we really created a great deal looking at that. What's quite alarming to me is that often even during our 'good' periods in games, the first halves v Wrexham & Portsmouth, yesterdays first 15 or so, is that we don't actually force a great deal going forward. We're still not racking up the chance creation but more just keeping the ball.

We don't suffer many attacks but when we do they're often fatal. Worryingly Stolarczyk's shot stopping numbers are basically the best in the division.

People, including the sports journos, keep saying we have a squad other teams are envious of, a squad capable of auto promotion.

What are they seeing that I'm not?

I watch the games whenever I can and there's nobody in that first team that would merit that opinion.

Simple ....  looks good on paper ... looks sh1t on grass

A bit of context.

We lost by a single goal to a form team.away from home

We are a team in transition ,winding down the contracts of expensive players who were signed with good intentions but were actually bad mistakes.

Ambition this season is to stop up and develop some of the academy players.

Overall strategy is to escape from the financial shackles, and build foundations for a promotion challenge over the next

Two seasons .

Did the memo of this to Marti get stuck on Rudkin’s famous fax machine?

Part of the fun/anguish of being in the EFL is being subjected to these local commentaries on the dodgy stick.

Absolutely amazing when we beat QPR the other year. They were fuming.

Not sure on your interpretation of the stats, in our recent games we've had significantly more shots than the opposition. We probably have the worst shot accuracy in the league.

Leic 17 - Cov 11

WBA 11 - Leic 13

Leic 16 - Wrexham 9

Swansea 13 - Leic 17

Leic 19 -  Portsmouth 8

Hull 9  - Leic 17

Millwall 9 - Leic 12

Swansea was the only game when we scored more than 1 goal.

Got to try and salvage my love for football from somewhere because it's certainly not coming from Leicester City any time soon.

There's shots and there's chances though. Four of our shots against Millwall were from 30 yards or further - are they particularly good chances to score?

Our xG per shot is joint-lowest in the league and there are only two teams with a higher average shot distance. Shot accuracy we're above average and we're pretty much bang on in terms of goals compared to xG so it's not like we're massively wasteful or wayward in front of goal, we are just really bad at creating high-quality chances in a way that I'm sceptical signing a new striker will have a particularly big impact on.

Agree, but I would also argue our current strikers don't make the correct runs either.

I can't remember who it was, but against Millwall at 0-0 one of players played a ball accros the 6yard box that would have been a tap in, but Ayew was only just running into the 18 yard box so it's not a 'chance'

When we do make a 'chance' it's for Daka and he misses like he did against Millwall from the JJ cross.

Any half decent striker scores that.

Ramsey in the first 10 minutes. Cracking cross. Watch below and see how much ground he covers to provide the cross too, only for Ayew to be sat somewhere deep scratching his ball sack. If i was Ramsey i would wonder what the ******* point of it all was.

Even sadder when you consider Ramsey has likely done his hammy in putting in this amount of effort.

Start at 1.38

It's got be said, Millwall is a cracking day out.

Underrated ground (helped when full), great pubs around London Bridge and the club just has so much more of an old school feel to it. Complete opposite to our matchday feel.

Perfect away day.

Fair point about the striker really and the Ramsey chance posted is a quite good example of it. Far from convinced just a new striker fixes our attack though and also far from convinced we'll actually sign a good one.

There are lesser resourced sides and poorer teams on paper that create more than us. Even worse is that this isn't exactly coming as a consequence of a solid defence either.

We don’t make chances for a goal scorer

Abdul Fatawu is perfectly capable of creating scoring possibilities for a striker to convert. He's the main (if not only) source of consistent quality crosses.
