This thread is so depressing.

I'm keeping my hopes up that it’s not one pereson on that bookies favourites list.

Like the good old days.

Will it be Coterill, will it be Dowie? No, thank the lord… it’s Megson.

You've said this about 5 times now - I'm sure you think it's very funny - but he's also been Director of Football at arguably the best sporting university in the country, his work with the England national Futsal team was impressive, he's worked with England u18s, he's worked with Leeds u21s and been their interim manager, and his current side are only 12 places below us in the football pyramid, where he's done a stellar job with very little budget, outperforming lots of historically bigger clubs. He's not just a PE teacher from Lutterworth College is he?

It's like calling Postecoglu a Australian lower league manager because that's where he started out. Incidentally I don't think we should be looking at a manager who lost 60% of his games in his final season with a historically top 6 club and recorded their lowest ever lowest ever finish in football's modern era, before going to our rivals and losing nearly every single game and getting sacked after a month.

MON used to be salesman whilst managing Shepshed and Grantham. To mock Skubala about being a PE teacher is childish. Doing a cracking job at Lincoln.

Is he still available?

Pearson not on Leicester list

Leicester City have not made contact with former boss Nigel Pearson as they continue their search for a new manager.

The Foxes are on the lookout for Marti Cifuentes’ replacement after he was sacked earlier this week. Fans have clamoured for the return of ex-manager Pearson but Mirror Football understands that club chiefs have not made contact regarding a second return to the King Power Stadium.

Pearson has already enjoyed two productive spells with Leicester, earning promotion from League One and the Championship. He has also worked for the club’s King Power ownership with Belgian side OH Leuven.

Pearson has been out of work since leaving Bristol City in October 2023. Andy King is set to take charge of this weekend’s clash with Charlton Athletic.

Ok time to pick up the campaign for them to contact him and bring him back

Id forgot about him !   K League 1 Manager of the Year: 2025  no idea what to make of that ,   , Greece 2023 / 2024.  used to like the guy back in the day ,

Bordeaux stint was good too to be fair, just called the owner a **** and got sacked lol

Players must have liked him though as they went on strike.

Greece stint is pretty much the same as the one the current Greece boss is on and he's been praised (scored a few more goals to be fair)

Korea, managing one of the top teams but they had gone 3 seasons without a title having won it 5 times in a row before that.

Took 3 years off after Bordeaux and has done well since... before that his record is pretty horrific.

Mouriniho started out as a PE teacher as well

In fairness, it only takes as much as Carrefour running out of croissants to cause a strike in France

I'm just slightly salivating at the thought of him being the person we need to come in and rat out Rudkin and Top lol

By the way in defence of the PE teacher vibes, I fear we all have PTSD given we're probably about to make a PE teacher our Chief Football Officer or some shite lol

I would love Skubala here though, and bring the Lincoln city DOF with him, their recruitment is unmatched at that level.

Our lot would probably end up striking for Top and Rudkin in that scenario lol:twitch:

It seemed a disaster and a publicity stunt from the start.

Thiago Motta so we actually have a manager who actually knows how to get some quality out of Kristiansen, then we will actually have at least 1 decent full back

(He is definitely unrealistic though)

As someone who knows the guy, I 1000% agree.

Agree that he could be a decent choice. But compensation would have to be paid to Lincoln, so that rules him out.

Wouldn't have thought it would be much at all, but agree. Be surprised if they've even heard of him, let alone if they're considering him for the job.

Last longer than expected at Morecambe, maybe wrong club at the wrong time. Maybe lower non league would have been better to start someone like a Barwell who will give him the time to build plus I can imagine he'd have a lot of contacts in Leicestershire to bring in some decent players.
