Dan Posted 9 February Posted 9 February I'm completely biased on Skubala due to the school link but as a result I have tracked what he's done with interest, and he really has done well there, he does deserve a job at this level. I do fear it'll be the wrecking of him though.

Sounds good to me. And that all means nothing when Rudkin calls him in before his first game: 'So Michael, this is the formation you are going to play.......'

Ted Maul Posted 9 February Posted 9 February I wouldn't mind Gerrard too much. One of (a very long list of) our problems is this pig-headed persistence on playing a style which is 10 years out of date. I think he'd get us playing more energetic football at the very least. 4
Popular Post Mickyblueeyes Posted 9 February Popular Post Posted 9 February Gary Rowett banter king. Came across Foxestalk on the weekend. Saw loads of posts on him being a short term, uninspiring option. Thought, I’ll teach them. A whole afternoon on ITK Rowett. 6

Teams you respect. 1
Richmondfox Posted 9 February Posted 9 February Hopefully who ever it is actually watches our games as research once in the role. No clean sheets, watching how they perform in training and in awe of their on paper historical achievement.

You didn't see his Rangers team then? Slow, passive play. Unwilling to switch things up when plan A wasn't working and my personal favourite, a reliance on his FBs for creativity and deliveries into the box. Sign us up.

Garrard is 100% the end for us. Shouldn't go anywhere near him. One way ticket to League One. 7
fox_favourite Posted 9 February Posted 9 February (edited) Gerrard would be an utter disaster. It's odd that the betting has been suspended when there hasn't been a strong rumour of any sorts. Edited 9 February by fox_favourite

Not fair at all to judge him for being a former teacher, everyone needs to start somewhere. Sarri was a banker and an amateur footballer He was also England Futsal manager
Corky Posted 9 February Posted 9 February Skubala would be wise to take the job on a financial (unless we have changed our approach to contracts) and geographical basis. Career-wise, he should stay well away. We are an extremely difficult club to manage both above and below.
teblin Posted 9 February Posted 9 February How do you think gerrard would feel about photos of king with premier league medals?
HankMarvin Posted 9 February Posted 9 February 5 minutes ago, teblin said: Gerrard with Beale would be better than without. Be a bit of a backwards step for Beale after managing 2 championship clubs and Rangers. Only become assistant again because of the shit load of money up for grabs in Saudi, that wouldn’t be the case here. He was favourite for the Oxford job the other month.
