I think all signs were pointing to them hoping Andy King would be the answer. I firmly believe they didnt even start to look properly until we lost at the weekend.

They are now shopping in an unrealistic pool of managers with reputations who dont see this as a positive career move, people in football can see we are heading one way, points deduction, no money and likely heading down, I would imagine that Cooper, Maresca, RVN and now cifuentes will be telling anyone privately, its a shit show, I really wouldn't risk it.

It really will be down to a candidate who is desperate to rebuild themselves like Marti tried to do.

Yeah and I'd said I'd probably worded that wrong so chill out a little bit man lol Yeah but who mentioned best win ratio of any manager under Marinakis that wasn't just Ange was it, hence why I've pointed out him being lower than others on points per game

Far enough point - however I wouldn't really see having a slightly worse points per game than the best season they have had in 30 years, or a man who got most of his points in the Championship which is a completely incomparable matrix, being solid evidence he has done a bad job at Forest.

Yeah it's more whether it's a good enough job to be able to essentially do the same/better here, like you said though we aren't appointing him so its all a bit pointless.

I'm starting to question whether Jesus Christ would be able to the same/better here to be quite honest but I guess he aint coming here either so we'll leave it at that.

Laughing at the Dyche in crowd. Please wake up and take your deludemol.

He ain't coming here, we are a basket case of a club with no top level management, no money, no structure and falling into league.

We have 1 year left of parachute payments and if we are still in league 1 then adminstration is a strong possibility.

OK.

Why wouldn’t Dyche come here?

I just want us to move away from the Barcelona ideology.

Let's go back to basics, and sign a young up and coming manager.

Martin George type of appointment.

Someone remarkable from the lower leagues with consistantly high win rate.

Dave Challinor please.

Rudkin is 100% the type of boss who always has his door closed as he’s on an “important meeting”

But every time you look through the glass pane in the door you’re pretty sure he’s just playing clash of clans

No manager of sound mind or ability will accept the setup

we must be the only club in top 2 leagues with literally no structure above the manager

and they will know from those been here before what a mess we are

we either get someone desperate to get back in or someone who brings their own structure. I doubt we can afford the latter nor would these idiots want it

Why would he drop down a division, to near the bottom of that division for a club that have plenty of senior positions unfilled, a team that isn't good enough and no money to make it any better?

Not to mention our proven track record of being financially incompetent and 6 managers in 3 years is it?

Why would he, we're Buddhist.

Personally I don’t think it’s a question of whether or not he’d personally come here, more that it’s incredibly rare for a manager to get sacked on a Thursday and then pop up in another job on Friday.

This forum really misses the 'ITKs', dosen't it! There's not a cat in hells chance we get Dyche. He wouldn't want to come here anyway. Especially as he was sacked just a few a hours ago. Just get on with it KP FFS

  • Because he thinks he's above a relegation scrap at the bottom of the Championship
  • Because he's still owed money from Forest and doesn't want to miss out
  • He's only just been sacked in the PL and wants a break
  • He doesn't want a short term deal
  • He doesn't want a likely relegation on his CV
  • The post is generally more trouble than it's worth

Think Drinkwater has said as much on a podcast before hasn't he? Could never find him when it came to needing to talk to him.

Err - got sacked late last night.

How many people walk into a new job right away after getting sacked. If he has half a brain he gets all his stuff in order with Forest (which will take time - if i was his legal team i would be looking very closely at everything that has gone on there). If everything is at it should be, he will receive a good pay off that will very likely be linked with him not having another job for now.

Even if it takes Dyche a month to get everything in order (this is Forest - i bet they will just throw money at their own legal team), thats far too much time for us. We need someone in to be with the team before the Stoke game. We need to be on this - now!

So yeah, for the right price and the right contract, Dyche might come here. But several hours after being sacked is he taking a 13 game contract before he fully understands his Forest severance?

I just dont see it.

Dyche 100% is not coming here. Even if he was interested (unlikely), we can't afford him (rumoured to be on £4m / yr at Notts).

The lack of links is worrying. Even Rowett's comments sounded like speculation rather than any true insight, almost like he was pitching. Tbh he does seem to understand the situation and clearly wants the job. I think we're at the point where most would be happy if it was him.

I think you are being a contrarian. lol

Two reasons (unfortunately) why he wouldn't

  • Just sacked
  • His stock is now above our price point

It is a shame, as he could do a job!

The other way to look at it is you can’t fail here. No blame attached to failure and plenty of underperforming players to work with.

All he has to do is keep us up which is possible with the right manager

  • Because he's still owed money from Forest and doesn't want to miss out

Could be a sticking point unless he agrees a payoff

  • He's only just been sacked in the PL and wants a break

He hardly seems like he needs a break, he's still fairly young

  • He doesn't want a short term deal

We could offer him 2/3 seasons with a rebuild in the summer not that bad of a propostion

  • He doesn't want a likely relegation on his CV

Again the right manager should be able to at least keep us up

  • The post is generally more trouble than it's worth

Spread too thinly, and someone who probably vocally lets everyone know how busy they are when in reality they have no handle on their brief, dither and do **** all. Everyone has worked with one of these.

Probably got away with it with a strong leader like Vichai, but not with Aiyawatt who’s only redeeming quality seems to be depriving a village of an idiot.
