Scraping a win against the worst team in the league doesn't exactly fill me with confidence for this one, especially with Nelson back out. It also needs noting that while they're not exactly free-scoring, Stoke have the best defence in the league so far - they're conceding less than a goal a game on average, which is why they're third in the table. Most we can ask for is that three ghosts visit our strikers during the international break and convince them to change their ways. Bah, humbug.

Can't really see anything but a grim 1-0 or 2-0 loss. Despite it being our signature this season, I'd be surprised if we come away with a draw.

Looking forward to this one

not sure why in reality as it will no doubt be a turgid 1-1 or even defeat

however just having the day off work and being able to go and watch is a bonus for me so will try and enjoy it anyway 🥴

Fully expecting these to rock up and be another underwhelming top 6 opponent after Cov & Boro. Just a case of whether we manage to be even worse.

This is what i expect.

We will find a way not to win it.

I’m of the same mindset as you. And I’m a bit perplexed that there’s a fair few on here who have claimed “they’re nothing to be scared of”…. Well, set up properly I wouldn’t be no, but did those same people say “we will be fine we’ve got Blackburn next”….

Well will lose this game, simply because of how Marti will go about it plus our frail confidence at the moment.

Getting up very early Saturday morning to drive up from St.Ives (Cornwall) for this, expecting misery 😬

Hope we win but it’s another one I’ll be missing.

Going to be in Cardiff watching New Zealand get last Saturday’s defeat out of their system against Wales.

They haven't got one player I'd take over ours. Yet that means **** all cos it feels like with each passing game we are being gaslit into believing this is where our squad is about at.

Do that often? Painful trip if we play how we have recently!

Yeah it has tended to be painful for what seems like a very long time, but I still come up when I can. Manage a few home games a season and the odd away when possible, hoping that do Bristol away in a few weeks time.

It's hard enough to get up at stupid o'clock to drive from the armpit of the country to the idyllic beaches of Cornwall in the summer let alone doing the reverse in the winter.

It's dedication like this that makes the contempt our fanbase has been shown from our club and the decline absolutely unforgivable.

Can’t argue with that mate.

Sunderland's starting 11 against Arsenal at the weekend included nine players they signed in the summer after getting promoted. That's the only way we could do it.

How many minus Xhaka had PL experience too.

Cooper’s obsession with that “experience” still boils my piss.

You wouldn’t take England U21’s striker Mubama who has 5 goals already over Daka, Ayew and Carranza? Interesting choice!

I don’t think there’s much in the keepers. It’s a sad state of our left backs that Cresswell is easily a better option there. I’d take Wilmot at CB over Vestergaard and Faes. Not sure about the others. Ben Pearson has been around a while at this level and I think would make our team better in centre mid.

Interestingly, when looking at the top goalscorers, I count 19 teams (unless I have missed or doubled up any) that have someone or more than one on this list. Nobody for us….

Actually won two tickets to see this (via blue light card raffle) and turned them down.  Better things to do than watch that shite, even if it’s free 😂

I mean Ashley Phillips is going to go on to be a long term Spurs and England player in the next few years. Would love him in our defence!

I'd pick Mark Robins over Daka and Carranza

That is embarrassing viewing.  Shows how poor the manager is at getting players into positions, and our players wanting to get into the box.  At Norwich, we allowed them all the time in the world to cross and flood our area. We stand still and watch the step overs until it’s sent backwards.

It’s not like we are making the opposition keepers work for their money.

We have one winger that only scores long shots after getting the ball on the halfway line and no support.  Another that wants to do 5 step overs, beat a man, cut back to beat him again until he loses it’s.

2 forwards who can’t control the ball or hit it on target. And my favourite, an attacker famed for his hold up play yet refuses to pass to anyone, preferring to fall over and kill an attack.
