Fully expecting these to rock up and be another underwhelming top 6 opponent after Cov & Boro. Just a case of whether we manage to be even worse.

Yeah. People acting like they're prime Barcelona. Embarrassing

Yeah it has tended to be painful for what seems like a very long time, but I still come up when I can. Manage a few home games a season and the odd away when possible, hoping that do Bristol away in a few weeks time.

I’m based in Farnborough but have done Blackburn, Pompey, and Cov home games this season. We got 2 points from those three by the way. Decided not to bother this weekend. Factoring in petrol,  cold weather, and 40 odd quid for a member for what we’re serving up right now. Nah, not worth the effort sadly

You wouldn’t take England U21’s striker Mubama who has 5 goals already over Daka, Ayew and Carranza? Interesting choice!

I don’t think there’s much in the keepers. It’s a sad state of our left backs that Cresswell is easily a better option there. I’d take Wilmot at CB over Vestergaard and Faes. Not sure about the others. Ben Pearson has been around a while at this level and I think would make our team better in centre mid.

Interestingly, when looking at the top goalscorers, I count 19 teams (unless I have missed or doubled up any) that have someone or more than one on this list. Nobody for us….

I don't think Wilmot is better than Vestegaard or Faes no. I won't get into the Daka debate again but I think he's going to do well when he leaves us.

The point stands. We shouldn't be anything like mid table in this league and we are just becoming accustomed to it because of our mentality towards accepting this effort they're putting in.

They aren't that good and don't think they'll stay this high in the table but don't think you have to be.

Agree we should definitely be doing better.

I have also been patient with Daka and have said multiple times, I don’t think a player can just lose something like the ability to finish he showed in Europe. I also think he will go on to do well elsewhere if he can sort his head out.

But that’s different to would you take any players from their side now, for the game at the weekend. And if you say you’d rather our options up front that are all busted flushes (here at least) over a young England U21 striker who has at least been finding the net often enough this season, I just don’t think you’re being entirely honest with yourself.

Mubama is a very good prospect, he'll get at least 1 vs us.

Could have been a pick up for us instead of Carranza in the summer as well…

Well, he would have been at Stoke by that point I think, but had we been proactive and not sat on our hands all summer, we could have.

We are too easy to play against. Teams can double up on Fatawu as he gets the ball too deep. They can also just wait for the chuckle brothers to pass around until the obvious pass into the congested middle for the forward to not control. Then you have Skipp to deal with. I’ve never seen a player attempt to tackle so many times and ends up nutmegging himself with the lack of control.

It seems like every teams full backs love to bomb forward and play 1-2 with the winger and crosses quickly while the rest of the team gets in the box, everyone apart from Marti.

We look good when Winks gets the ball quickly for JJ to drive with it.  Fatawu and Ricardo to actually run and pass with each other too. Page will always be a better option to get the ball forwards and Reid to actually play someone in than Ayew.

It will be the same dull tactics and application then eventually the level drops because it’s not working.  The chuckle brothers mess around for longer and Ayew and Fatawu become more greedy and ineffectual.

Fair enough. I just mean if everyone was playing to their maximum and showing the effort they should. Which I realise they aren't.

We're talking about 20m players signed from playing in Europe and in some cases for us to push for Europe. We're reduced to talking about them not being able to compete with Stoke and Oxford players.

It's really as simple as if the effort isn't there, stop ****ing playing them. I'm not for playing youth for the sake of it but we genuinely have a golden generation coming through. The resources we have still dwarf 95% of the division and yet again we are adapting such a small mentality from the top down and the fans are accepting it.

Yeah fair, I thought it was just a case of coming from a different point of view.

Because yes, a striker supposedly at his peak, signed for over £20mill should be a better bet than an untested kid.

Agreed regarding fans just accepting the decline and standards.

Genuinely convinced theres not a single 'good' team in this league, including these.

There isn’t. It’s absolutely ****ing dross. I can’t stand it, the football is genuinely horrific, it’s stuck between long balls, and slow boring possession.

How anyone can actually enjoy it is beyond me….. and we’re one of those teams.

I quite enjoy it actually. My missus is horrible so it's nice to get out the house.

I live in Staffordshire, know quite a few stoke fans. They are the happiest they have been in years.

Front 3 dangerous, but far from an impossible team to beat.

Unless our forwards actually try and attack as a team I can’t see us getting anything. They have conceded only 10 goals and our forwards cause us more problems than the opposition.

All the championship sides I’ve seen this season (including us) have just all looked the same really in terms of quality bar probably Norwich. All much of a muchness. Weakest it’s been for years the league.
