I have it on extremely good authority that all of this action and supposed change is entirely down to pressure from FoxesTalk.

The disaster they’ve caused and yet they still want to handle the recruitment of three massively key roles. Remember it was the numpty Top who led the recruitment of RVN and then chucked him under a bus. Regardless of the fact RVN was one of the worst managers in our history. 
 

For this to be any sort of success the cause, Top, cannot be part of it.

 

Rudkin “moving upstairs” is also a complete disaster as he will be part of the process.

Happy with it, I’m no Rudkin defender at all but he has created an elite academy here at Leicester that has and is continuing to serve us well. He should remain a part of that

The stadium expansion is not happening. 

 

Leicester City will not achieve anything of note in the foreseeable future.

 

But guess what? The club spouts empty words and PR to keep the gullible limp-wristed fans hoping and coping.

It’s definitely a start in the right direction, it’s what many have called for, yes of course the proof will be in the pudding in terms of who we recruit. Yes could have happened sooner but it didn’t and Top has been rightly criticised for this. However he is at least recognising the failings and accepting change needs to happen, like I say it’s a big step in the right direction, he now has to deliver on this and recruit forward thinking, high performing individuals for these roles and if he does then the club can begin the process and journey of becoming a competitive and innovative organisation again.

While Rudkin will remain the director of football, the introduction of a technical director feels very significant.

This is a line from the article. We’ve been here before. If you were a technical director worth anything, why would you report into director of football, Jon Rudkin who is openly admitting that after a decade at the helm lacks the expertise to do the job.

 

It is why we have a mediocre head of recruitment who isn’t good enough for DOF role. It’s why Macia left. It’s one of the reasons Walsh jumped to Everton. It’s what Enzo was talking about. 
 

No one of any quality is going to want to cap Jon Rudkin who”boss”.

We have to wait and see I suppose but I think it’s 80% likely the appointment is a load of shit.

 

McGuinness, Sormaz, Macia, Idiakez, Halajko et al moved very, very quickly after joining.

 

Neither Rudkin or Top have been good at appoint managers so they’ll be even more clueless at recruiting for this role

He is heading toward more technical involvement in football, he has the history at the club and his mentality is beyond reproach.

Technical director is there to hire staff and players though. I love Huth but if top is serious this needs to be an experienced hire.
