This is true - it’ll be for all tickets purchased.

People aren’t that stupid though. It was quite clear to see that it wasn’t a 27k attendance.

I’m sure there will be an email/survey going out asking why people didn’t attend.

Seen Pipes say there was only 12.5k there.

So the boycott did work to some degree.

15000 didn't stay home because it was cold or a school night.

(The picture posted above and the televised coverage clearly shows there is significantly less than 27000 in attendance, so Pipes who was in attendance may just possibly be right)

Someone posted that they expected 400 or 500 Boycotter's max...

Two thoughts on the farcical “attendance” figure, is this “tickets sold” method used by all / any other clubs?

Secondly can those fan panels who have some dialogue with the club ask for clarification and ask for a true total of attendees to be announced instead of or alongside the irrelevant “Tickets sold” figure.

Yes, most clubs do this.I think today’s figures are possibly the most blatant I have seen yet.Sunderland used to take the piss by claiming upper thirty thousand crowds when the whole of the bottom tier looked almost empty.

I don’t let it bother me as we all have eyes and they are only fooling themselves

So glad I came off Facebook. That group drove me round the twist.

I stopped commenting on them as they are all fecking morons! I just read the posts and comments and laugh. A large section of our fanbase are as disgraceful as the owner and board.

Even if it was only 500 for the boycott, there were still thousands of empty seats. Kick off time plays a part but this is a big city and county. We should be able to muster 25-28k who will physically be there.

The fact people with tickets didn't go, couldn't give them away, forward or resell is significant. Who knows, this may be more common soon?

Marti looked rattled when asked about the empty seats but the reporter didn't have the balls to mention the boycott but "a cold night".

The commentator at the start of the game said something along the lines of "there's been a talk of a boycott in some circles" or something like that  so at least Sky sort of recognised it.

Wait til 80 mins when we’re 2-0 down….bigger crowd at a wake by then

What an utter plonker you are, and completely wrong. Perhaps you should go and support a team that always wins. You make me sick.

Completely agree, morons. Fortunately they are an annoying but small minority of keyboard warriors.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet but the total attendance has season ticket holders regardless of whether they go or not

Wasn't it his dad who made all the money and top has spent the last few years pissing it away, hence why he got the boot from running king power?

Reporter just covering their backside and not jeopardising future interviews, They had to address the elephant in the room and mentioning the weather was a safe option.

Only tomorrows media will tell if Sky's comments had any impact or not, I hope so and more media outlets mention it in relation to the obvious reduction of bums on seats and give the reasons behind the need to boycott.

If we see some of that then hopefully the message will snowball and cause the required and necessary embarrassment to the Nepo Baby and KP.
