Ricardo making as many mistakes as Thomas. His passing out is poor. Led to one good chance for cov. The alternative options are worse though. Choudhury and kristianson. Don't know about Aluko. Not see him enough.

Are fox’s would of won if that ref werent such are idiots

The Ref was decent for 80 minutes then he lost the plot. He should have booked a few Cov players but didn't.

The reason we lost was Thomas didn't do his job and defend the Goal against the attacker. Instead he bottled it and looked for a free kick.

He should have been rightly savaged in the dressing room after the game. That's the only way he'll learn quickly.

Another good half - showing the players do have the talent.

Even the poor 2nd half I can't knock the effort shown - which is my biggest problem this season - except Thomas for the goal, just take a nap...

The 2nd half was poor tactically and lacked the skill of the 1st half. Marti said that he told the players to expect Coventry to come and get them, the focus appears to be they would be going for an equaliser, surely the message should have been how to turn their defence around and exploit the gaps behind when we counter - instead of all out defence with a defence that includes Okoli and Thomas who both looked liabilities yesterday. Ayew was usually 30 yards away from our own goal, you can't counter like that.

Skipp appeared to push his man too often and was giving away soft fouls

1st Half we reverted to the inverted RB and James as a 2nd 8 - Enzo style and we were much better - we did the same at Swansea earlier in the season which was also one of our best performance so I don't understand why we are not doing it more.

We still were in the 2nd half, but the transition between the in possession formation and out of possession formation was too slow, either deliberately or because Ricci can't last 90 minutes. I really don't understand this play a full 90, then rest him approach - Surely 60 minutes a match would be a better option.

I've got to blame Marti for the tactics in the 2nd half and being too slow to change things. He asked us to hold on, when after that 1st half we should have been focusing on scoring a 2nd

Well that's a smaller home gate next week.

Will be just a few happy clappers left soon.

Somebody else jumping on the 'happy clappers' bandwagon.

Yesterday wasn't down to a lack of strikers, it was down to a lack of decision-making and taking your chances.

We have wingers and attacking midfielders and central midfielders who all know how to score when given the opportunity.

Just not against Cov.

We don’t have a striker that runs in behind to create space and/or busts a gut to get across the front man for poacher-type goals.

Bobby should have got at least one, yes.

But being in those positions without an effective striker really does cause us issues.  The amount of times Ayew either stood still or went backwards was ridiculous.

The first half they were great and it shows it can all click but they could never keep that intensity up for 90 minutes.

We need a striker desperately....we should of been clear with a clinical finisher. Thomas is also out of his depth.....he needs replacing asap

If they are keeping Marti then they need to back him.

My worry is offloading our dregs in the window before we can buy and no-one is exactly knocking the door down for Winks.....

Rudkin and Top need to sort it and NOW

These planks are insufferable.

Aren't they playing tomorrow? Many of us also watch other football matches. God, imagine the misery if this was the only thing you followed..

The best we’ve looked under Marti, was Fiorentina…. I know it was a pre season game, but we had energy, we were dynamic, and we looked razor sharp, and Fatawu was absolutely electric to boot. Since that game, we’ve just gradually got worse and worse and worse.

We seemed to be fitter in the preseason, in fact I remember commenting how fit we looked….. and now? We can barely muster 60 minutes before we’re done.

Cifuentes has taken us backwards from when Andy King was running the show.

The very basics of football we aren’t doing, these are all coachable things…. Marti has little influence on what happens at boardroom level, yet, he can completely control what happens on the pitch…. We’ve seen so many players regress under him, the fitness has gone out of the window, and there’s no real structure or obviously tactical plan. The second half yesterday was submissive, submissive against a side that should be nowhere near us…..

Anyone who clapped them off, you’re a disgrace to the club, you don’t support it, you don’t love it, you just accept failure and appear to even celebrate it. Losing to Coventry is bad enough, but to completely submit and crumble like they did?

Everything you’ve said here may well be right, but comparing King having a couple of pre season games with a better team to playing this many league games with this bunch of arseholes is a bit unfair.

There are plenty of other avenues you could go down to criticise Marti than this one.

I’m referring to the diminishing fitness levels, and regression in pretty much all of the players in the squad….

Even with that, it’s pre season for us and the opposition. We were changing a whole team in games.

5 subs are allowed - that's half a team. Our manager could optimise the team further by not starting with the likes of Ayew, L Thomas etc.

He made the worst of his allowance to use the subs bench by not making a substitution until as late as the 70th minute, and I can see no plausible explanation to making his last 2 subs after normal time was up.  That last is absolutely unforgivable.

Oh, and we have an amazing number of talented youngsters who need gradual introduction to the squad and proper match coaching.

So, much as the squad has weaknesses, the manager is under-utilising the players he has at his disposal.

You will see from my first post that I don’t disagree with Marti being shit, I’m pointing out why it’s not fair to say Marti has done a worse job than Kingy based on a couple of pre season friendlies.

The difference is you've admitted to being on there to wind people up. I'm here to honesty talk about football. My family is half Coventry and half Leicester. I do have a clue what's happening to your club.

Is the lad even missing a game? Cremonese play at 5.30pm our time tomorrow, could easily get back for Tuesday.
