Having the most expensive squad in the league is hardly a shit hand…

And you’re right… He should’ve got a better tune out of the squad

I hate the manager merry go round thing, but this feels like the right move

It is if the most expensive squad in the league is full of over inflated contracts and dead wood

Saw a good tweet earlier.

Symptom has gone.

Now just the cause(s) of the problem to go...

I saw that, my response is. We got rid of one disease but still have cancer. He wasn’t a symptom, he was a disease himself.

He had to go, but now the circus wheel starts to spin with no idea of how to stop or what to do. At some point the dial will stop on another clown and off we go again.

Back to praying we hit the bullseye again then.

Better than playing darts with a limp arm not even reaching the board with the arrows...

This bollocks AGAIN.  The squad we assembled was horrifically over priced, that's our fault not Marti's. He is still not good enough though.

It’s not ‘this Bollox’ though is it?  It’s a statement of fact…. Whether they are worth their value is another question

Marti still had a squad that performed massively under its potential….  Debate that if you’d like, but not many would disagree?

Not disagreeing…

There's so many problems at the club that I don't think changing the manager yet again is going to make much difference.  Those picking the managers also need to go.

But you are using it as point of blame which it should not be. He did crap and deserves the sack, but to suggest the value the squad was bought for outside of that managers tenure is ridiculous. That was my point. You sought to mislead the jury

The board is awful just like the darts though.

(not sure how much further this analogy stretches....  )

Thank f**k. I expected him to limp along like a wounded dog for another month or two before Top finally remembered to check how we were doing.

Now just needs to overhaul the whole boardroom and management team or sell up and all might be forgiven.

They need to perform a full 180.

By him being dealt a shit hand, I meant that he was dropped in too late with little or no preseason, had zero transfer budget, and inherited demoralised squad with overpaid want-aways.

But yeah, the expectation was far higher.

To persist with failing players and play players out of position, being repeatedly outdone on tactics was bad.

To have the team lagging in stats for sprints, tackles, distance covered, whilst going for months without a clean sheet, was unforgivable, so he had to go.

Ermhhhh… I’m not sure I did?

He wasn’t given parson daka and a packet of quavers was he?  And I am using it as a point of blame, as it should be!

He was not a poker player!

I literally feel nothing.

18 months ago the club was a mess, yesterday the club was a mess, today the club is a mess and tomorrow the club will still be a mess.

I can't get optimistic until Top and Rudkin go.

Spot on .... bring in the next scapegoat

Yep agreed

decent bloke

The Spanish Steve Cooper

another good man  however just not good enough for this group of players

Unfair on Cooper who would be a semi competent Championship manager.

He got Forest promoted, this guy will never get anyone promoted ever.

What also gets me is the timing of it. Everyone was saying it was because of money. Now we know it isn't, it begs the question who on earth watched Blackburn at home and thought he was honestly turning it around from there?

Top wasn’t available to fly into the country back then to sack him, our sackings have to fit around Tops busy schedule.

Should have been done a while ago, not 7 days before the transfer window closes. I've no faith in Top or Rudkin appointing anyone who will change our fortunes, added to the fact we haven't the money or the appeal to attract a decent candidate. This will be just another rinse and repeat. Top is not savvy enough to run the business like his old man did and Rudkin is just a leach who would have been removed from post had he been at any other club.
