Don’t think they are.

A lot of clubs have all 3.

I read it as we are looking for a CEO and then two more for technical/director roles.

He mentioned three roles: Sporting Director, Commercial Director and CEO.

No, Technical Director and Sporting Director are the same thing. Either way, it's Rudkin calling the shots.

Tbf, usually Sporting Director and Director of Football are the same thing. Technical Director is usually a little different.

Obviously the terms are nebulous and interchangeable between clubs but that's usually the case.

Yes but that loss wouldn’t have been £105m if we had stayed up would it? Also may have been able to get more favourable deals for other players as we could demand more having not just been relegated.

The difference between finishing 17th and 10th is negligible but the different between staying up and being relegated is not.

the cap for losses would have been. give we lost 92 mill in 21/22 alone, we'd still have been well in breach in 22/23

Christ.

So Spudkin struggled with one role and we are replacing that one role with one person doing one role?

Naive is a word that will constantly be used, still astonished by some of the comments in that Percy interview.

He isn’t a football person, there’s ownerships scattered across English football that are exactly the same as ours.

Nowadays you have to get the right group of people around you, we simply haven’t done that and it’s hindered us for years.

It’s baffling that he’s only just realised that a restructure of our football operations is needed.

What is also baffling is how Rudkin has let this continue to happen, also who the fvck was controlling our accounts, surely they could see we were on course of breaking certain rules.

I said it the other day, it’s as if we got too big for our boots, now we’re paying the price.

Fail to get the appointments right of a new sporting ceo and technical director, then we’re only heading one way…

Short term we need to get the manager right, else league 1 will happen in 4 months time.

We're saved everyone

I waited outside the ground and got Top's autograph.

What he didn't realise is it was a contract signing the club over to me.

Say hello to your new owner.

It’s a damning interview.

I think it was very brave and I have a lot of respect that he conducted this interview in English. But I cannot help but think it has backfired massively as I think there is a lot of quotes here which are poor translations and would’ve made more sense in his mother tongue.

He does not deserve the benefit of doubt. This is just confirming what we already knew, he’s out of his depth.

Besides, if he can’t communicate then that’s another reason for him to sell

Found it quite amusing when he says, 'Blame me for Leicester's woes' Top be under no illusion - we do.

What I want to know is 'What strategic plan is there of how things are going to change', because for the life of me, keeping the same team around you is going to lead to more woes.

l also get really tired of players from the title era and after saying how great the owners were. I'd be saying that about Billionaires who showered me with gifts too. It means nothing.

I appreciate that they made it like that when things were going well. Wonder how close Mavididi and Vestergaard are to Top now we are languishing in the bottom half of the championship?

I'm not happy clapping to you **** Gamble92 like you did Khun Top in the west stand every week with your flask and that lad Jamal with your fiance asking why we're bad and you saying "we are where we are". Guess the director area is an upgrade for you but it's still the west stand.

Slightly different interview currently on Sky.

Top interestingly straight up says “we have complied” with PSR every other season apart from when we got relegated in the Brenda season.

He did claiming that a commercial director is close. Problem is this is all backwards. You appoint a CEO who then appoints those below them based on working as a team. The interview appears to suggest that Jon will be the ultimate authority which I hope is not the case. One of the problems Leicester has is that it is already over staffed it’s not more people we need it’s better people.

This is the most alarming bit for me:

Not knowing what PSR is? Not knowing that we were on course to break it? Terrifying.

It does explain the sudden change in plan in the summer prior to relegation that pissed Rodgers off. They clearly had no idea PSR was even a concern.

No refining the plan when it became apparent we we were in trouble.

Not looking at the previous season when we were in a relegation battle well in to March.

PSR not embedded within the plan

Absolutely no room for manoeuvre incorporated

An incredible move away from the previously successful strategy

FM if he's speaking in front of the Premier League we are truly ****ed as he comes across as totally incompetent which of course is no defence

He comes across as a boy playing FIFA or some other shite

He really should sell up or get someone competent in to manage the club - the former being the strong preference

I think this sums up what most of us who were paying attention could see back in 2023. He's a spoiled nepo baby with no understanding of the value of money who hasn't got a clue how to run a football club or how to adequately delegate responsibilities to those who could, his only 'strategy' was to throw money at things and hope it sticks. Now he can't spend money due to his failure to understand PSR and an actual intelligent strategy from someone who understands money and football is required, he's been left completely exposed.

I think the players from that teams relationship with the owners was the start of the bad culture within the club.

It's hard for a manager to come in and command the respect from the likes of Vardy and Kasper when Top is trying to be their best pal, sending them memes and pictures of the giant jobby he done. And it kinda snow balled from there and no manager since has been able to get the players on-side and in line.

Honestly if we are talking levels of football knowledge then he doesn't even have that of a FIFA player. I'm being deadly serious when I say that.

This is the heart of the issue though. If you take Rudkin away, it exposes that to everyone. Rudkin is the only one he goes to for advice. Advice I think he's ignored a few times recently too. Certainly on the Cooper sacking.

It's beyond how bad we thought it was. To only make decisions when you're back in the country is pure neglect. To sit there and say he's giving his all is just a disgrace. He's a disgrace and if he doesn't leave soon we will not have a football club left.

What are you basing Top trying to be their best mate on? Where does that come from?

I think the relationship between players and ownership is, in our case, probably massively overblown because our owner died and players were naturally asked to talk about him. They weren’t exactly going to say ‘I liked the money but I had a much closer relationship with managers x, y and z’ after he’d just died. Of course maybe they were all very close, but I think it’s more likely that that’s a bit of a myth that’s grown out of people being nice about someone they worked under who died, and about someone who they worked with who was grieving.

The bad culture comes from a combination of long term mediocre recruitment, overpaying people (which in turn makes it really difficult to get rid of people who have a shit attitude when you have signed them), letting Brendan Rodgers throw everyone else under the bus in an attempt to save his own skin and nobody taking accountability for any of it. It’s got nothing to do with our title winning squad.
