We have not sold him for £17m no chance. Have we??

There's frivolety in the middle east and then there's absolute absurdity. I highly doubt it when they could have waited 6 months for him and just paid a signing on fee. Think his remaining book value for 25/26 was £3.4m so we'd be lucky to have got that + wages saved for the rest of the season.

Still be a massive plus to get rid of his wages and any fee.

I know these are unconfirmed and this is a trite point to make at this stage but it's actually disgusting that we have the top 4, and more than half of the top 12 and churn out what we do weekly.

Make me physically sick looking at that.

absolute negligence

£17 Mill is what we paid for him. Not what we’ll have sold him for.

Exactly. One account accidentally says 'sold for' instead of 'bought for' and it becomes the truth.

Rogers at his best and most destructive

Tbf, Rodgers couldn't stand him. Said as much. Refused to play him on his first season to the point Soumare went home on sick leave.

Unpopular take; there was a player in there somewhere. He's been a victim of appalling managers (the only decent one being Maresca and he never played under him as he went away on loan).

He wouldn't and couldn't track runners. And always chose the easy way out with his 5 yard backwards pass. You can scream and shout all you like as a manager but if he won't do it, then at least try work with what you've got.

He could fcking run with the thing. And against tiring legs - as we saw v Ipswich - his laziness was less evident. Players would bounce off him. A decent manager could've found him a niche, somehow, somewhere. But nope, he was continually tasked with jobs he couldn't or wouldn't do. Both parties at fault here - club and player.

Looking forward to the registration of charge to advance us the pack of dates and enough Oud to keep Rudkin smelling fresh for the next ten years….
