We sold them Mads for £18 million and they got relegated. We will sell them Fatz for £17 million, and they will plunge to league one. We will take their place in the Championship in 12 month time. I have this on good authority.

Can’t see us getting promoted for a couple of seasons

£15m should be enough to buy 4/5 players that can play to a high level in League 1.

Don’t forget we’ve got to balance the books, would be about £6m profit.

I definitely remember someone reputable (I think, maybe Percy) describing our transfer budget as "modest". I'd be amazed if we spend anything north of say £2 million on actual transfer fees

Be interesting to see whether it’s a modest budget prior to player sales or if assumed sales are included.

He didnt prove himself in the Prem, and he hasn't looked the same since his ACL.

20 would have been nice but last season he played a lot and didn't have massive impact so the price is probably okay.

All a shame though

West Ham now have £80m from the sale of Fernandes to Spurs. Fatawu wouldn't be a straight replacement, but he would offer a bit of what Fernandes' has done.

Not exactly

they still have approx £35m amortised value on the player so that’s 45m clear profit

they’ll be making other big sales

reckon if Bowen moves then they’d look at fats. Otherwise don’t think so

Also, was it not reported that they need to raise £100m this window following relegation?

£14 million isn't good enough, in my opinion. He's already proven—albeit inconsistently—that he can perform in both the Championship and the Premier League. The market is absolutely insane these days, so £14 million simply isn't enough. Everyone is trying to convince themselves it's a decent deal by pretending he's not that good anyway. He isn't crap, and we all know it. Without his goals, we'd have been one of the worst Championship teams in years.

The fact that some people are trying to put a positive spin on this is genuinely baffling. In the end, it doesn't even matter whether it's £10 million, £20 million or more. The money won't be reinvested properly—it'll go towards paying the ridiculous wages of the overpaid, underperforming players who are already here and continue to stink the place out. We could sell him for £30 million and we'd probably end up signing another 31-year-old recommended by Wasserman.

The only thing these outgoing transfers are doing is papering over the cracks created by this ownership. The mistakes haven't gone anywhere—they're still here, earning fortunes while dragging this club backwards.

Make no mistake: regardless of the fee, this is a negative. If you look back over the last couple of years, I think almost every Leicester fan would say the only genuine positives—the only reasons for excitement or hope—have been Jordan Ayew? No. It's been Jordan James, Ben Nelson, Abdul Fatawu and Jeremy Monga. One is already gone, and the other three are the only players attracting interest for any meaningful money. They're our only real assets.

Once they're gone, what are we left with? No hope. No encouragement. No clear plan. No idea how this club gets out of the mess it's in.

Nothing the ownership has done since relegation has given supporters any reason for optimism. Every decision seems to make things worse, not better. And unless something changes dramatically, it's only going to get worse—a lot worse.

Spot on.

How Spurs can spend the amount they've spent so far after nearly getting relegated is staggering. No European football seemingly helps teams spend more.

I think it’s becoming apparent now with the farce with Man City, allowing Chelsea to sell bits of their stadium and women’s football teams to themselves, and how Man United seemingly lose millions ever year and get nowhere…. That the EPL and the EFL are only bothered about pursuing the teams they can realistically punish. They won’t touch the “big boys” we will all be asking in about 10 years time what happened to Man City’s case….

Not suggesting there’s leeway for our useless tosspots of a board room, but in the bigger picture the “top” clubs aren’t getting touched.

I know he's been at the world cup...but this has gone oddly quiet. Other players are linked when on international duty.

This is the main one we need over the line soon to get the much needed money coming in

There was a tweet in the last hour or so saying Beşiktaş are in for him. Thought he'd get a better move than that tbh even with the double relegation on the CV.
