I have QPR vibes for this game. Other sides know the easy formula for guaranteed 3 PTS from us.

1. Take the game to Leicester from the start.

2. Attack out flanks
3.. (((Physicality bully us.)))

= 3 easy points for Birmingham.

Whenever I put a 5-3-2 out people say that - you'd think I'd take the hint 😆

I think we've got players who could make it work. I also think a lot of those players would look better with an extra centre back, centre mid and centre forward.

I also think Fatawu needs dropping...

Nothing wrong with a regular 532 but that requires wb’s that are basically wingers (manning/ Giles types) 2 actual box to box progressive cms ( we only have James who  could do this)

And that’s ignoring the fact we don’t have a striker who’s going bury chances.

we’d be a hot mess in that formation and it would simple be a park the bus job if we tried it. IMO anyway haha

Don't think we'll see wholesale changes if im honest.

Reckon a couple might get introduced once we're a couple of goals behind.

Can guarantee we wont see a change up front.

Why so certain? Last week King had Ayew and Daka to choose from. Since then we’ve bought two young attackers who can play up front. Marti would very likely have stuck with Ayew, but I’m not sure we know enough about King yet to say the same.

Lascelles will also very likely start alongside Nelson.

Maybe but given his lack of game time I'd expect him to be brought in slowly.

Aribo wouldn't surprise me given lack of options.

Nelson is currently our only fit centre half and he’s still very raw. We don’t have the luxury of easing Lascelles in—he’ll play. I’m not sure where Aribo would play given Skipp’s return from concussion.

We'll get well beaten here. Be like the Sheffield United games.

Their record against us is really bad but don't really remember an instance where they were favourites either. They've just spent fairly heavily again in the last window with a couple of coups (Carlos Vicente the one to keep an eye on).

2 or 3-0 to them.

Cannot see how Lascelles can play. 2 games in 2 years. Howe said a few weeks back that he isn't fit enough to play so imagine he's miles off it.

Ive seen enough of King already to know we'll see Ayew starting at the weekend.

King might have only managed one game, but he's been in Marti's ear all season.

If Marti was ignoring King's advice / thoughts (as some suggest) then we would have seen changes when King got the reins, but we didn't.

We saw a carbon copy of Marti, even down to keeping Ayew on the pitch too long etc.

Call me a cynic, but that tells me King and Marti were on the same page, and thats worrying.

I don’t think all 4 new guys will start. Lascelles probably won’t- I think we’ll spend a bit more time assessing his fitness and sharpness. I’m not sure who will to be honest.. I think we will see a lot of them coming off the bench and then maybe playing a bigger part in the game after..

the problem with our loans is they will be lacking match fitness??

It wouldnt surprise me if Lascelles is left out completely and the rest are subs coming on at half time after we are losing:brendan:

Maybe add a bit of steel to our defence. Instead of them rolling over to have their tummies tickled

At least we have additional options now.

Midfield will be interesting, I know we have lost Hamza for a while, but Winks, Skipp, Page, Ariboe, Mukasa and BDR give you good options.

Is Lascelles is fit or close to be he has to be in the team.

Not sure about the Lad up top, but we have been so poor in that position, I think you have to just throw him in.

I'd also play swap the keeper.

Begovic

Ricardo

Lascelles

Nelson

Aluko

Skipp

Winks

Aribo/Mukasa

Mavadidi

Richards

Fatawu

Ayew

Daka

Vestergaard

Page

Aribo/Mukasa

Monga

Stolarczyk

Thomas/Kristiansen

S. Thomas
