The work of scouting Scandinavian ball playing CB’s that we won’t sign starts now!

I don't even think we can look at the modicum positives in that Martin's transfer track record isn't too bad as it'll still be conducted by Glover and Rudkin primarily. I actually think Glover should go down as one of the worst in the business, we have been diabolical since he came in and makes Lee Congerton look like Monchi.

The only bit of hope to cling onto, is the type of transfer window we produced under Maresca. At that particular time, it ended up being our most successful transfer window under Martyn Glover, many signings made sense and you could see a clear strategy. Since then the strategy has been very random, with Steve Cooper’s fetish of Premier League experience being added to the mix.

We need another strategic window like 23/24. I thoroughly expect a few players to follow Martin from his previous clubs, Smallbone probably the best example, but like Russell Martin has produced at other clubs, a bunch of young signings mixed in with a couple of experienced signings is hopefully the route we’ll go 🤞🏻

Get rid of Winks and loan out Skipp and Smallbone would be an OK piece of business. Either of them stay and i'd not be keen.

Brussel tends to prefer a 4-3-3, so if both Winks and Skipp leave, as I’ve advocated for, Archie Collins makes perfect sense for me.

6’s - Collins, Braybrooke

8’s - Smallbone, Page

8/10 - ?, could depend on how Brussel sees BDCR, Alves and maybe Briggs

My biggest concern is if he goes with inverted full-backs, you expect Choudhury to play a role like that, but for Thomas, Aluko and Joseph would it suit them?

Forgot about the inverted full backs, I think Aluko would be fine but Joseph might have to play as one of the wingers which he's probably then not seen as creative and attacking enough.

Be interesting to know waht they have promised Martin as a transfer kitty.

Can't see him coming with nothing to spend.

Just hope that Martin and McCarron can become a decent double act.

Need to be brave, move on as many as possible and embrace youth.

You’d imagine Ross Stewart post World Cup is a shoe in? We need a striker and a target, Martin signed him at saints and last time he was in league one he took the piss.

Fitness issues as always with us though lol

Now we have Martin, like it or not (not for me btw) I'd take those three above, especially as two of them are free. Would all be good in league 1 imo

Surely there’s no way Stewart drops to league 1

Bazunu is genuinely Ward levels of bad and Stewart would spend more time with the physio than playing

I already have my list of ball-playing goalkeepers written down, but no doubt that will be a waste when we sign Gavin Bazunu on a 5 year deal.

Don't forget Aribo

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Andy Fisher come in as number 1 this summer.

RM had him at MK initially and he was a massive part of his system, he then took him to Swansea with Harry Darling (another he might consider depending on his game time at Norwich)

AF was back up last season and only played once so you’d imagine at 28yo he’d jump at the chance for regular league one football under RM

I know what you mean. But he’s never really been a top level player.

Two seasons in the Scottish prem, four in the championship and a few appearances in the prem… he’s a football league player and his best season was in league one.

And he knows he’ll probably get a championship wage.

If we sign Bazanu then I pray Iran strikes Seagrave

He wasn't a Martin signing so hopefully he only got the games because he was already there and not cos Mr Pinder liked the look of him.
