Christ alive just seen we've got Okoli until 2029 as well....this hell never ends!

He'll go back to Italy this summer, his PSR book value will about £6m off the top of my head and we might get that, thankfully

Lewis Freestone is quietly having a good season at Stevenage.

Left footed CB.

Cut price option in the summer if we manage to get rid of some Plonkers.

Oddly seems well thought of in Italy.

44 goals and he’s got a 5.8 rating… we always needed a new Yakubu 😂

Guessing from the lack of ratings in the other Seasons, that he only got ratings for one or two Cup games 🤔

A 30 year old from the National League.  What's not to like?

Insane that he has those numbers and someone up the chain didn’t take a punt on him.  Although I just admit I have no idea what level worthing is. Shame he’s too old for a big move

Not sure where to put this and pinch of salt , I had never heard of him tbf but Enzo Bardeli from Dunkerque in the French second division is someone I've heard we are looking at.. This is basically third or fourth hand information though!!!

I don’t think it is. The options just means Rennes can’t whack the price up based on him having a great season here. Other clubs could still pay more and sign him. And he could also decline and choose to

You're usually spot on, but on this occasion we'll have to disagree.

Fair enough. Which bit do you think is wrong? The role other clubs could play, the player getting a say or both?

If everything is locked in, it’s usually be an obligation.

A fit Souttar is a high level championship centre back. If we stay up, we need him next season

I think the blueprint is there for us all to see to be honest, we have to start using more of our academy. I fully expect that you will see Logan Briggs, Sammy Braybrooke, Will Alves, Jake Evans all a part of the first team whichever division we are in next year. We have potentially 15/16 players out of contract/Loan ends this summer and even that annual amount alone won't cover the debt we need to clear. I think it goes without saying we aren't going to be going in big for players in the summer.

As much as I would love to see JJ and Fatawu in a Leicester shirt next season we have too much debt to off-set, so we have to be braced for the loan and free agent windows.

Names that spring to mind if we are in the championship in areas I think we need

James Beadle - Goalkeeper (On Loan)

Dennis Cirkin - Left Back - reportedly ready to leave Sunderland on a free

Dael Fry - Boro - out of contract in the summer, experienced championship defender

With the young blood in mind, I wouldn't mind seeing these two either,

Danny Ormerod (No relation to Brett), 19-years old and has 32 goal involvements in 34 games in the National League North - i've said this before on here, looking down the pyramid didn't serve us badly before.

Nate Worth is catching the eye in the USL Championship with New York Red Bulls II, only 18, CM.

Ellis Simms. With Coventry almost confirmed promotion. We need a striker. I don't think he will cost that much and from the games I have watched, he is a goal scorer! Lives in Leamington now, so won't have to travel too far!

Can't think of any other strikers I would want to lead the line!

No been around for a while so only just seen this. This is my understanding of how it works.

In the case of JJ everything is locked in apart from Leicester's decision whether to exercise the option.

Where it's an obligation, it is usually conditional and the loaning club has no decision to make if the condition(s) is/are met e.g. a condition could be that if the player makes more than 20 starts for the loaning club the loaning club must buy the player, or it could be that if the loaning club is promoted they must buy the player. This is regardless of whether they actually want to sign the player at that point. That's why we see behaviours like a loan player not being played once they're a match away from triggering the obligation if the club don't want to be contractually obliged to buy.

Where it's an option, there are no conditions, it's purely the decision of the loaning club whether to buy the player at the pre-agreed price or to walk away from the deal. The player signs up to the deal when they sign the loan deal, they have no choice at the end of the loan, they're already committed. Likewise the loaning club have no choice, they signed up to the deal when the loan deal was signed, they agreed to sell to the loaning club for an agreed price (they could of course have conditions that increase the price if for example the loaning the team are promoted).

So, it's not possible for another club to come in and gazump the loaning club nor is it possible for the player to decide they don't like the deal after all. Sadly for JJ, he's stuck with it if Leicester want to buy him. He's probably hoping Leicester buy him and immediately cash in by selling him on for more than they paid because they'll need the money.

I mean he's absolutely dogshit so might be an improvement on the current duo but I'd rather use someone from the under 16's than pay actual money for that steaming pile.
