Based on 3 parts hope and 1 part YouTube videos I reckon he’s going to be great and our starting 10 by the end of the season. Already hoping we extend the loan for next year as well!

I think it's more Aribo that will be taking Page's minutes away.

I suppose that depends where you see Page's best position but yeah, sure, ultimately.

I imagine the team in the coming weeks will most commonly be something like:

Stol,

Ricardo, Lascelles, Nelson, Thomas

Skipp, Aribo,

Fatawu, BDCR/Mukasa, Mavididi,

Ayew

For the record, that's not necessarily what I'd pick. Just what I think is likely.

I'd be very surprised if the team wasn't this with BDCR in the 10 for the Birmingham game.

I think Page is more of a box-to-box and James should have that spot when he's available.

Signing Aribo is probably going to mean that when James is back, Page will be back in the youth teams.

Skipp/Winks to play as the pivot with James/Aribo/Page as the box to box 8. BDCR/Mukasa/Ramsey as the 10.

I think he'll play 10, he's our Ramsey replacement.

I'd bet a decent amount of money that when the dust settles in a few weeks time, Mukasa will be rotating at 10 with BDCR, Richards will be warming the bench because he isn't anywhere near ready for the Championship and we've flopped again trying to find a striker and Jordan Ayew will still be starting at 9.

Strikers are not exactly the easiest thing to sign in January, especially if you’re working to a tight budget.

Personally, I would have gone for Dykes - we have an abundance of quality in wide positions but lack anything meaningful to hit inside the box - and as a short term option he would have offered something different to the (lack of) strikers we currently have to the extent I think he would have done a job for us before resetting sights for a more permanent solution in the summer.

I agree that Mukasa is probably pencilled in as our 10 - and that Richard’s is probably a bench option for wide right/upfront to begin with.

Is he our new striker

Unsure, if this Richards comes in from Chelsea, he'd be the striker signing....however we all know who's starting up top against Brum either way!!!!

Man City see him as the natural successor to Kevin de Bruyne.

More of an attacking midfielder with an eye for the killer pass. Likes a goal too.

Match thread will give 10 mins max to prove himself

Could be less than 10 minutes from me once I've seen what colour boots he pulls on.

It’s about spot on.

Aribo surely starts this weekend when you consider that he can’t play again until Stoke away after this weekend.

He looks a good prospect and is in and around the first team at Man City. Look forward to seeing him play.

That pre season game where we all liked Marti’s style. And granted the opposition were probably a few weeks behind us. Had Bilal, Stephy and Abdul. That 10 role is very important in getting the best out of wingers who we know can be devastating, BCDR who think has a something to offer at this level isn’t one for cute passes, dictating the game.

Hopefully this guys works as that link in an important role.

Of course it doesn’t mean it he does we will be successful - Luke Thomas will just give away 3 goals at the other end.

Just astounding that these weren’t the priority

Sounds like eventual team would be as below if we haven't got this young striker Richards in. We can't be wanting James and Mukasa to play triangles with Ayew so must be thinking Mukasa will play further up?

Stolarzcyk

Ricardo Lascelles Nelson Aluko

Winks James

Fatawu Page Mavididi

Mukasa

Are we really going to have, dynamism, pace, legs and energy??  Can't wait for St Andrews now, grasp the nettle AK and stick those stealing a living on the wooden seats.....

And lets hope Lascelles stays mainly fit
