It’s been known amongst the club and players it would be 6 points deduction for months

It's been known it would be 4-6 points on this forum for about a year if you listened to the respected posters.

Apparently the club are upset because this will “ hurt our sporting ambitions “.

I don't think it can, can it? Effectively punishing the club for exercising its right to appeal.

I don’t know tbh… but if a criminal appeals a sentence it can definitely go up … there has to be some jeopardy otherwise everyone would appeal?

PL wanted a 12 point dedication according to Kieran Maguire - and we hoped for a fine so ended up in the middle. Worth reading the whole post, looks like our main defence was as many of us thought that the change to the rulebook was retrospective so shouldn't have applied to financial activity before 2025.

It doesn't really matter what is said now, we are where we are.

We know the situation and the players, in particular, need to realise now is the time for sleeves to be rolled up.

A club with a track record of avoidable relegations is going into a relegation battle without a CEO, technical director, commercial director. A squad full of loanees, youth and players with deals expiring. Perfect.

KING POWER OUT

glad they played their hearts out to be well above the relegation zone

They knew about the points deduction and this divine knowledge was messing with their mental health resulting in poor performances.

Our poor millionaires, they've been through so much, they need a huge wages payrise.

I'm nearly crying typing this.

Pretty sure Percy has a 20-point deduction incorrect. I can't find any reference to it.

Nor me

The only positive from a LC perspective  that I can see is that they managed to win the argument that the it should be measured over 36 not 37 months all that really did though was reduce the amount of “ overspend “ by  just under £3 million so £20.8m was below my worse case scenario of £30 m but still far too much.

As for 24/25 it seems to me the club infer that that 3 year period is ok but that may simply be the club trying to control the narrative.
