I was expecting 6 points after an appeal, we should appeal as I think we can make a clear argument that we have been actively hurting ourselves as a club over the last 4-5 seasons trying to get the wage budget down to comply, we have made the odd blunder along the way with the likes of Winks/Vestergaard, but on the whole we have pretty much destroyed ourselves trying to comply.

To a degree but we lost 180 million over 2 seasons between 2021 and 2023 and that's coming back from a pandemic. That's in no way sustainable (especially given the effect the pandemic had on KP as a business). So costs had to come down anyway.

The 80 million spent on players after the last promotion (on a squad that won the Championship) should have competed better in the PL, even accounting for the Dewsbury Hall sale. But the club made a bunch of poor decisions with recruitment and hiring and firing.

It would be just like us to go on a run and get 6th position now and go up.

You think this shower of shit to do anything in the playoffs except bend over?

FYI, we must have given the EFL evidence of how we're going to comply for 25/26, otherwise we'd be under a structure business plan and transfer embargo. They don't recognise raising funds in June to comply either, so somehow we must be OK for this year.

24/25 however, i'm not convinced.

To be honest were playing so bad this season we were never good enough to go up, so this will have no effect on us we won't go down, so in all all, it's a victory.

Keep King till to the end of season then have a clear out, poach a playoff manager that didnt get promotion, next season we start afresh, looking forward to next season already.

I think it's a worst case scenario.

It's not enough to make these dickheads pay attention to the situation we're in. We won't have the stomach for this fight.

I meant points deduction wise.

Could have been better, could have been worse.

Now let's see if these dossers step and get a few decent results to claw the six points back, starting on Saturday.

There needs to be a Fook You mentality now amongst the players - and this time aimed at the authroities instead of the fans.

I had sympathy initially, I felt we were being victims of our own success and punished for chasing the dream and trying to compete.

But the way the club as been run since then is embarrassing, and we are run by people who don't understand how to run a big money business and industry.

Mistake after mistake.

Prior to the pandemic the club were run right. Leicester aren't a huge money spinner as a football club. Haven't got the huge stadium and match revenues of the big clubs in the Premier League or the huge sponsorship deals, so did rely on smart recruitment and bringing in big sales (Maguire, Fofana). After the pandemic the club went from being the model club in terms of being run right to a basket case. The losses in 21/22 and 22/23 (180 million) were purely bad management. And the recruitment and hiring and firing decisions have been very poor in the last 5 years in general.

Specifically says in the club statement we are fine for Y25, does it not?

We appreciate the Commission’s agreement with the Club’s position that compliance for FY24 should be assessed over a 36-month period – an important point both for the period in question, but also in providing the Club with certainty on its PSR/P&S compliance for FY25.

we are bang in trouble now, relegation wise:

  • Over the last 21 seasons, teams finishing 21st: Low 41pts, Average 48.2pts, High 55pts
  • We're currently trending for 52 points (including deduction)
  • West Brom currently trending for 21st with 49 points
  • So 48-52 points likely required for this season to stay up
  • Problem being we've already gotten 1/6 vs Oxford, 0/3 vs Blackburn
  • Blackburn A on the final day
  • Portsmouth 2 games in hand, Charlton 1 game in hand

Annoyingly if we had turned up against Charlton and Oxford, two easy games on paper we should be winning in first gear, it would be net 0

This exactly.. stop prating about and get the easy games won. Facing relegation has nothing to do with this points relegation.

They did very well of pushing this victim narrative to us too to get us on side. They tried it in the last PSR statement and it didn't wash that time.

Never been a fan of psr but you can't help but feel if we keep escaping the punishments then so do Rudkin and Top. There comes a point even the happy clappers need to ****ing realise and hopefully they do now.

If we have the audacity to appeal this that tells you everything you need to know about the lack of accountability at the club. To say I’m relieved with 6pts is a crazy thing to even say, but that’s how bad things have got.
