He has a choice of two awful left backs and two awful right backs (if we call Choudhury a right back and accept Pereira is a spent force) on the senior team, then Aluko who unfortunately can't play left back and right back at the same time.

Even if Aluko is actually any better, which still really remains to be seen imo.

I think our only hope is tight, disciplined anti-football tbh

I hope we win every game 1-0 for the rest of the season

Haram ball, brother.

I am looking forward to it.

The nearly 4 weeks its taken to 'secure' his services, no. But that its virtually done, yes. His only aim this season is to get us to 21st, grind out about 15pts and do enough to stay in touch with Pompey, Blackburn or Baggies. The last few weeks should tell you that no-one else wants the job.

15 points will not be enough to stay up, we need about another 21 to be absolutely certain of safety, and I cannot see that happening.

Whilst it's the managers job to get players playing. They can't give them personality transplants. The only way to fix a squad like we have is to replace players with better characters. We've been so badly run that a manager can't currently do that.

You have people who blame the manager because, quite frankly, they're terrible judges of football players/squads. There were people on here who were still saying in January that on paper this is the best squad in the Championship 😂. Or Marti's biggest fault is he's managed to convince people on here that this is a bad squad. How anyone can still look at our strike force or defence and think it's the best in the league is delusional.

This is a bad squad. Full of bad (experienced) characters, youth players who aren't ready and system players who need better players for them to play their game. We have no fight and it's a very short, physically weak team. It's just dysfunctionally made up.

We just need to s**thouse wins and rely on individual brilliance now cause that's all this group of players is capable of.

I do hope we give this guy chance. It's understandable why managers will have turned this job down. Ignoring the massive problems with Top and Rudkin; all you have to do is look on this forum to see how some people have unrealistic expectations of this squad or what a manager can do with it.

Rowett has a reasonable track record of stemming the bleeding at clubs in crisis by focusing on the basics—being compact and disciplined out of possession, filling gaps and reducing exposure in transition. This is what we need. Whether our squad of players buys into it or not remains to be seen, but his skill set is exactly what we need right now.

This is the Championship, not the Prem. We should be able to win the majority of games left if some confidence comes back.

"We're delighted to welcome Gary to the clubs. He comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience, most recently at Oxford United - where he was their manager."

#LCFC | Understand that Gary Rowett has been at the LCFC Training Ground in Seagrave and has taken training today ahead of confirmation that he is the new Foxes manager. He will take over with 14 games to play with Leicester in the relegation zone and two points from safety.

Why wouldn’t they announce him before this? It’s not like this a big announcement 😂

They wanted some rondos, slowed down pics of someone running  and a player struggling to get water into his mouth from a water bottle.

Could have just used some matchday footage.

Maybe because getting on the training ground and talking to the players is more important then having photo taken for the press release.

That would’ve confirmed they are retards when faced with a football. At least with the rondos, and passing to each other 5 yards apart, they can pretend.

Till the end of the season or have they given him a 6 year contract?

I understand that he completed all the formalities this morning and was told he needed to do the socail media next. He said "**** that we have a match on Saturday, I need to get on the traning ground and sort out this shit."

Maybe it was like a trial shift? He's probably on a plane to Iran as we speak to escape the pain of Ayew and Daka....

They've given a 6 year contract until the end of the season.
