He has to get supporters on his side and galvanise the club.

Very different, Oxford are a team punching above their weight, and we are massively underperforming. You can only motivate limited players to achieve so much but players who a mentally weak  you possibly can change with the correct skills. That Oxford side outclassed Cifuentes Spanish marauders, probably on a tenth of our wage bill.

Listening to the interview, sounds like he just wants the team go back to basics and desire to want to play again. I think he will bring the discipline and enthusiasm back.  Also worked with Jordan James before so he knows what he's capable of that's for sure.

Could be. We all know LT is a weak LB and is easy to target. I would take Aluko over VK though.

It’s a small thing but you can tell he almost feels he has to remind the interviewer that he did indeed play for the club 😂

Someone from the club PLEASE take Rowett to the side and tell him he cannot start Ayew on Saturday. 
 

It genuinely feels as big a decision as it did when Ruud picked Ward for Wolves. 
 

We desperately need a clean slate and he’s going to make a rod for his own back immediately if he’s not careful.

As we were at the point of "we just need a manager", I can't have too many complaints. He seems a nice guy, who I hope can motivate the team.

 

I'm just convinced the rot has set in too much and we're still relying on others being worse than us, rather than what he comes in and does being the difference.
