I don’t agree, when you run through the team there is no reason we should be anywhere near the bottom 3 most if not all this starting XI have played and performed at this level and if not above. The truth is because we pay ridiculous wages and long contracts the players have lost all hunger or desire. Standards and culture are in the gutter.

then mix that in with rank average managers and this is what you get.

If we lose against Sheffield Wednesday, what reason is there to just not play the u23s. We can't change what's happened or bring a whole new playing squad in, Rowett can see he isn't getting a tune out of this lot, he's not here next season, is that even really a gamble?

Got to stop blaming managers. The players are the common denominator in what has been an unbelievably shite 2 seasons.

Common denominator is managers insisting on playing 4231 at walking pace

Completely agree.

Pearson set standards and got rid of players with bad attitudes (Mills and Beckford etc) Maresca had clear standards and aims too.
to lose him and replace with managers who are far worse, add in a chairman who is barely around, a sporting director hated by players and incompetent, Players were not allowed to leave Faes, Iversen even though they wanted, To constantly reward abject performances from the board with Ruskin promotion and players like Thomas on a 4 year deal. there is no driving factor for them to do well.
Reap what you sow and that is why we are likely going to league one.

Pathetic comment. They’re people just like us and they are entitled to a weekend off like anyone else.

We’re in this mess because of the board. Not Rowett.

Thats not managers thats a direct request from ownership.

Let's see what he says at half time, I didn't watch the 2nd half against Stoke as I just thought what's the point, today I don't have anywhere to be and there aren't many more tomorrows left of this season.

When literally every manager struggles, then you have to look at little more systemically.

Hes not great, but I mean how many more managers are we going to blame when fingers should be pointed elsewhere.

It’s possible for both the players and the managers to be crap. No one can say we have a worse group of players than Sheffield Wednesday.

If we’re blaming the players, whom the club recruited, well, the club also recruited the managers. It makes sense that we’d be consistently crap at employing the right people.

If we can’t get a win against these Rowett should retire.

I am not having that any manager is worse than that Marti Clown, he is the worst manager this club as ever had. He has managed to get the most expensive squad to be in the bottom 3, thats some achievement of shitness. I dont understand why people are still trying to defend that pathetic diatribe that he was serving up week on week. There is at best 2 games when he was in charge that we deserved to win, other than that pure luck.

At least now the performances are mildly better. Its irrelevant comparing a guy who had most the season to utterly destroy any element of quality the club had with a guy who has been brought in to try and bail out the sinking Titanic.

Performances are much much worse.

If Gary somehow survives for Blackburn he needs to send all of these players to the bomb squad. Persisting with the same ones who he can't get a tune out of to save his life is pure cowardice

Ricardo, Thomas and Skipp should never make another matchday squad; Daka and Mavididi should be "break glass in case of emergency"; Winks, Okoli, Fatawu and Stolarczyk not much better. Ayew and BDCR can be told to stay away from the training ground entirely.

Call up the youth to replace the dross. Lorenz Hutchinson up front. Get Page, Monga and Aluko back into the team.

Wasn't the reason Winks wasn't playing due to Van Nistelrooy and Cifuentes setting standards? I just think it wasn't done often enough or with as much conviction as Pearson was able to do, he's a scary guy, loved his press conferences, Top clearly is an Osterich as is JR

That 5ft 2inch Thai boy wouldn't know 4231 from a lawnmower.

Are you able to talk about anyone without referencing where they’re from lol it was funny for a while but it’s a bit weird the more I think about it

Well he shouldn't whatever happens, he's a firefighter. 600 games in management no honours, no promotions, just a couple of manager of the month awards.

Players are the common denominator, that doesn't mean the manager is good enough, Cifuentes was completely out of his depth, a lot of it out of his control as you can't force players to care, what you can do though is drop the ones who don't, he consistently chose the old guard who kept putting us in the mess and omitted players who wanted to run.

Rowett has fallen into the exact same trap.
Often when teams try to play youth and get themselves into a mess, it's logical to then bring in the experienced heads to steady the ship. The issue for Leicester has been the opposite, it's experienced players we are the ones throwing us under the bus week in week out, and Rowett has continually chosen to pick the likes of Ricardo, Mavididi, Skipp/Winks, he keeps bringing on Ayew who just slows the game down instead of taking a gamble and throwing Mukasa upfront or even bloody Vestergaard.
Rowett cannot be blamed for ANYTHING other than his own decisions, and his decisions are very hit and miss.

We've run around a bit more, worked a bit harder and that's about it, he really hasn't shown anything to suggest he is the long term answer, he can barely get us fired up to be solid for the first 5 minutes, that's predominantly on the players, but GR is failing to fix that at a time we desperately need fire and hunger.

I genuinely believe we'd be mid table under Ruud with half of these idiots gone.

Exactly these boys have a point to prove they are on like a 1/10 of the wages of the playing squad. If they show anything they are ready for next season. Clear the whole lot out on free transfers, we save £100 mil a year+ on wages, maybe Fatawu we may be able to get something for.

He's a firefighter who rocks up to a house ablaze and happily sits there with his hose not connected to the water mains 😂
