1 win in 13 in this league is not doing ok.
It is absolutely pathetic.
I agree it’s those above where the major issue is.

It's one win in 18

Had his chance and blew it, a bad hand but can anyone say we went down fighting. The players that failed us time and time again were given the chance to fail a few more times. He could have given more game time to the youngsters who really could not have done any worse. No plan B and not much evidence of a plan A

Yes but it's 1 win in 13 under Rowett.

All that being said we have had enough chances to win most games still don't know how Thomas missed v Stoke the chances at Watford Sheffield Wednesday Hull etc Can't blame Rowett for everything

We had plenty of chances to win games during Marti's time too. Mavadidi had a golden opportunity vs Coventry at home for example. This isn't an excuse, but we shouldn't be calling out these individual moments - e.g we should never had gone behind against Stoke when we were 2-1 up. Against Swansea at home we we snatching at shots from anywhere. Rowett had plenty of games to turn this around - hes a complete failure.

Probably at any other club he would have had an impact. But such is the cloud that’s hanging over the club, it’s difficult for any manager to come in and have an effect.

I don’t really judge Rowett too harshly to be honest. He’s shown in his career he’s a decent manager at this level but our players are just beyond help.

Players let him down too. Stoke away (Thomas chance) Watford away (Daka) QPR (Nelson threw the game away). That said, his late subs and persistence with the same formation was annoying.

I don’t think even if we had stayed up he’d have been given the job.

Backed him to start with, spoke well but effectively didn’t act on his words. We have way bigger problems but Rowett has been ridiculous. Daka’s Watford misses still haunt me today. JJ despatches a pen with ease against Hull. So many missed chances with the stupid line ups he’s chosen week in week out… these coaches have the pleasure of watching the likes of Mavididi every day in training, and persist to start them week in week out. Laughable.

I find it hard to believe they see anything better on the training ground from anyone else.

Surely after that Millwall line up, he can't have any supporters left? Quite literally zero reason to not play the kids. Just keep playing a bunch of players leaving at the end of the season...sound!

Presumably it was because he didn't want to just play a weakened team and hand Millwall the points as it would directly impact the automatic promotion picture. He spoke a lot about the integrity of the league prior to the game, so it was likely that. I was amused to see a number of Millwall fans online suggest that our players should be ashamed of themselves for actually putting in a shift on Friday when they hadn't bothered all year...

Wouldn't you argue pre-match that playing those 11 lemons that walk around the pitch not putting up any fight would harm the integrity of the league over playing those that might actually try to represent the club with pride? I appreciate what actually transpired was a collection of players finally trying when it was too late and gave Millwall a game....but still!

But the difference is a manager and coaching staff with half a brain can work out something different to do.

Watching how Fatawu and Mavadidi play every game is like watching me constantly run into a brick wall when the door is wide open a foot away.

I know a few Oxford fans and I can assure you they are saying the same things about players missing sitters, conceding late goals, poor refereeing decisions etc. and what might have been. The difference is that Oxford went down having tried their best under a manager who was able to motivate them, they just needed a bit more quality. Rowett is an ok manager, no more than that, but the players showed absolutely no commitment and your right, we would never have stayed up whoever the manager was.

I was hopeful after those first two away games at Stoke and Middlesbrough however from the outside looking in his excuses have been cowardly and lame and he could easily have changed the formation and personnel. He is an experienced coach and could easily have delivered changes to a squad of professional (albeit toxic) footballers. Morrison did it with the Baggies and had to unpick what Mason and that idiot Eric  Ramsay coached into them and  has had what 15 games in total as a caretaker manager? Most importantly his football got the fans onside and behind the team as he changed things and gave them all a bit of belief! Rowett was and is the polar opposite of that and must not be considered for next season.

I think he gets a lot of grace from supporters because of the way he is in the media. People get all excited for these "no nonsense", "honest" blokey blokes.

Is it quite refreshing to hear sometimes? Yeah, I suppose so, but ultimately it means absolutely **** all.

Apart from that, yeah - he's been garbage. Not as garbage as probably Ruud (horrible) and Marti (percentages skewed by wonder goals), but garbage nonetheless.

12th after 30 odd games. You make your own luck.
Rowett had the same player in the same season at his disposal and got nothing out of him, not even normal goals let alone wonder goals.

I don't think we put a huge shift in and, in any case, we have lost once at home to a team in the top 8 (and that from being 3-0 up). Our results against the top clubs had not been the issue.
