This stink out starts with Nelson, the first pass is on but he cuts back to Okoli.  Every pass to him is a risk yet they constantly do it.  Not sure which is quicker, their brains or Ricardo's legs.  

 

It takes too long to get the ball to the midfield and then it arrives behind the brain and feet of Skipp.

 

Zero press from the front.  Fatawu is in that mood where all he wants to do is cut inside and not be part of a team.

And with every pass, the press closes in until we lose it in the middle

Too many players at a 4 or 5 out of 10 level. Fatawu needs to work harder. Skipp keeps giving the ball away.

 

Our pace of play is slightly above glacial but not by much.  Need a big improvement in the second half to get anything out of this match. Second best pretty much all over the pitch.

Worked so hard against stoke and Boro and can't even get out of 1st gear here. Other than Stolarczyk, they've all been pretty awful, especially the attacking players.

What I don't get is why we keep playing the ball to Okoli, everyone knows he can't pass or control the ball yet he seems to receive the ball more than any other of our players. I suspect Norwich are giving him space to receive the ball knowing he will make a mistake at some stage.

If you look at his average position over the season, he tends to spend a lot of time in the centre circle. 

 

That's probably the idea, but he's been anonymous and we keep getting turned over in the middle.

Our defence has been a bomb scare all match. If they had crossed the ball better we would probably be 2 down by now. Players just allowed to run with the ball with no challenges etc etc. 

Games like this result often in a 1-0 loss  when a side that can't defend tries to for most of the match and offers nothing at all attack wise.

Our defence is always a bomb scare. It regularly concedes 3 or 4 goals in one half. They're s**t. They're not just going to magically get better.

 

But now our midfield is actually trying to protect them. But at the expense of attacking. Which means boring football.

 

But it's better than shipping on average 2 goals a game like they were.
