Difficult to judge today as Watford were dog shit, but hopefully he brings some confidence to a panicked team.

I think most of this league is dog shit, but at least with Lascelles, hes less likely to gift goals to the opposition than some of our other centre backs.

He’s obviously a step above anything we’ve got, it’s just whether he stays fit.

Yes we brings a solid presence to the defence and an air of authority. I thought he looked secure on the ball too. I think his presence rubbed off a bit on Thomas who had a good game today.

He's our player, just on a 6 month contract.

Hence, the trying to sign him if we stay up.

Helped Okoli, Thomas and Jakub. Would also like to see him help Nelson as well.

Agree and same, would rather he was paired with Nelson.

If I’m an opposition forward I’m onto Okoli as soon as the balls heading to him as he can’t control quick enough he’s just to fumbily (is that a word?) although you can’t fault his commitment to blocks and getting his head in.

Nelson is a little more controlled & overall adds more in both boxes and probably benefits a lot more with being paired with a senior head.

One small thing I noticed and liked was him grabbing Okoli at full-time and making him go and give his shirt to a kid who had asked for it after initially either not seeing or ignoring them.

Good performance on the pitch too, first time in a while I thought we looked more or less completely comfortable at the back,

With the fixtures we’ve got he should play in 5 of them.

Take him out of the Monday game over Easter and the hull midweek game.

As others have said, just let him do what he needs to recovery wise to make himself available

Do we know if Vestergaard will be available by Easter Monday?

I agree Lascelles shouldn’t play twice over 3 days but we also don’t want to be throwing away the Wednesday game with the Okoli/Nelson partnership.

Sounded like most players are back and should hopefully be available after this international break

Good! Lascelles and Okoli obviously kept the clean sheet so worth sticking with. But Vestergaard and Nelson were quite good during the better run of results we had in early to mid December so could be a chance to use both partnerships over Easter. Or if it is just Lascelles that needs managing (well Vestergaard too) you could play Okoli in both and just swap in Vestergaard for Lascelles.

Can’t state how much I loved when he just bulldozed Louza early doors to win that header, can’t remember the last city defender who was doing that. Really does change the way we get attacked when the attackers are scared of the big brute centre back, big problem we have had this year is how nice and easy it has been to play against us. Think Okoli and Lascelles are probably good to be our first choice from here on out, not the best on the ball but big and strong and do not lose their aerial duels which is massive in this league

I’d do Vestegaard and Nelson vs Wednesday where we would expect to have most of the ball, other two for every other match barring injury or Okoli being brain dead again

Yeah that or just keep Okoli in if he is benefitting from the experience of Lascelles or Vestergaard alongside him. He should be able to manage the remaining games.

I just feel that Nelson’s head will have gone now so I’m wary about even risking him against Wednesday.

Possibly, but it didn't look that way when he came on at the weekend. He got stuck in, made a few decent tackles and almost scored the winner. It didn't seem like his head had gone to me.

It was good wasn’t it! It felt calming to see him during the game- his passing was effortless and body shape receiving the ball spot on

Did he chuck it back?

no problem with his quality, its his injury record that's the issue.

If he didn’t have a injury problem he would not be at Leicester

First time I have seen him start, thought he was poor, no upgrade on what we have, saw no leadership and got outshone by Okoli ( says it all)

He was ok yesterday, nothing outstanding except for that one time he mugged the attacker off in the second half with a decent bit of footwork. Did seem happy to drop Luke Thomas in the shit with flat sideways passing that resulted in either a pressurised clearance or getting tackled. Looked less for the penetrative forward ball than Vesty would.
