Bookies close to paying out early? My payout offer is almost the full winnings.

I’m not there yet as mine is not on cash out, it was originally but I’m of the opinion that WBA situation could play a part, not that I’m cashing out anyway !

It’s been easy money every week with us ! 😂

Most likely thing would be for the club to mothball a significant part of the site and keep many of the facilities ticking over so they don’t fall into disrepair. Just sums up the ineptitude and hubris of the ownership and senior executives at this club that we end up with two training bases in completely different parts of the county, and both men’s and womens teams nowhere near the top level

...and they say some fans had delusions of granduer.

Agreed with what you say, I'm sure the regulator is busy but I would have thought his remit is to looks at all issues in Football and make recommendations where he sees fit.

I understand under 18s are not allowed to sign Contracts for good reason in most cases.

But Football is a special industry, and so maybe special conditions need to be made help parents and young players. Then as you say maybe sign a new Contract at 18.

Like I said some Club is going to challenge it based on the measly compensation being currently offered.

When the regulator had their first meeting with fans I submitted two pages of questions that I believed mattered to true football supporters. 90% of them the regulator said was outside their remit. It confirmed what I thought the regulator will benefit supporters not one bit. If you are hoping for improvements that make sense do not hold your breath.

Coming from someone who’s in marketing for an exceptionally large global food/drink company

Why on earth would PepsiCo say yes?

No idea mate. Not my game, you tell me?. Love to see it though.

Pespi buy /sponsor the training ground

Sponsor the shirt

Good exposure during the rise back up the leagues, to where we belong etc. Pumping zillions into the club, re-name the stadium Pepsico Stadium etc etc.

Fact is (I no longer live in Leicester) there appears to be a massive cloud over the whole city, in general. The whole place needs investment. (Re)Building up, cleaning up, literally.

Local based big businesses should be approached, by the councils etc to formalize a Leicester development plan. Start backing the city. Back whatever ideas King power have with their stadium development, and surrounding area plans should be fast tracked.

Do whatever it takes to get the whole city thriving again.

There's absolutely no vision, no feel good factor anymore. The performance of Leicester City, mirrors the City as a whole. The situation need to bottom out and start rising again. This should be ground zero.

Tigers , Leicestershire County Cricket are doing well on and off the pitch? It’s just the club which are very badly run by Aiyatwatt and Rudkin.

So it's only a window dressing exercise to be seen to be doing something.

How nieve am I in thinking things will be better from here on.

Fans need to get to get Nationally  to force change. As so many Fans are disillusioned by what's going on in the game at all levels.

Agree. I saw that LCCC have had a Grace road development plan approved. Is there any news on how this is progressing?

How many good PL loans have we had this season?

Buonanotte was the last good one and we dicked him about dropping him for effeminate Reid.

Clubs rightly will weigh up the development opportunity from the minutes they'll get, the manager they'll play under, the atmosphere at the club and so on. Facilities on their own don;t make a success - as we've seen.

Mukasa has been alright and Ramsey was good before he got injured, so I get your point but we have had a couple of decent loans

It is indeed like any Quango , because that’s what it is, will come at significant cost and it’s the clubs that are going to pay to fund what will grow significantly in terms of staff numbers and thereby cost.

Far too many expected the regulatory body to get involved in matters which they see as being wrong.

Sell it for housing

Because apparently there are restrictions/covenants on the Belvoir Drive land which mean it can't be used for housing.

I think we are absolutely toast, still hoping for a miracle but if not, just looking at who the rebuild needs to be around and who needs to go, this is purely based on best case scenario that we managed to get rid of everyone we want to, I am also assuming JJ doesn't sign even though there are rumours we do have a clause, just can't see it happening, if by some miracle it did, first name on the team sheet, top paid player at the club, Vice captain and flowers sent to him every month to apologise for dragging him into this mess.

Sell/Release:
Okoli
Souttar
Vestergaard
Kristiansen

Thomas (If he has a big wage cut clause I'd be tempted to keep as he's less of a priority replacement now imo, had a difficult time but has shown he's got some capability at Champ level under Rowett)
Pereira
Hamza
BDCR
Monga (cash in)
Daka
Ayew
Mavididi
Fatawu

Skipp (If we can somehow get him down to 15k a week then keep, if not he has to go, good attitude, tries hard for the shirt, unfortunate price tag)
Vietes (He's good enough let's face it, he played in Europe and La Liga last season, but he won't be given a chance and probably wants out)
Jakub (Meh, I'd argue we could keep him, but he's just not really improved, doesn't help he has a circus infront of him, but I just feel if we can get someone else in, it's worth moving on, he's behind Begovic)

Rebuild around:
Nelson (Tempted to sell for profit, but if we can keep him, a full league 1 season could be perfect for him to kick on)
Lascelles (IF he would accept a season with us in League 1 on a reduced wage, but still one of the leagues top earners, I think it's probably worth keeping him for his leadership if he can stay fit)
Aluko
Page

Evans
Braybrooke
(His stats in League 2 are very positive, big step up though)
Silko Thomas
Alves
Coulibaly
(not likely to want to stay, but he's made 15 appearances for Sassuolo mainly as a sub, he HAS to be at minimum league 1 level and would save us a signing)
Begovic (not really a rebuild player, but if we can get a cheap 1 year extension with the offer to allow him to coach here if he wants to, he's easily good enough for L1)

Players I'd argue for signing:
Pierce Charles (GK)- Wanted him since the summer, has a good future ahead of him, Wednesday are in financial meltdown and his deal runs out summer 2027 so would be at a discount, they will have a few players up for grabs that can play at L1 level.

Enzo Bardeli (Box Crashing CM) - Dunkerque (Ligue 2) Free agent in summer, 29 games, 9 goals, 5 assists from CM, can also play Defensive midfield and Attacking mid, imo would be classy in League 1 and we can easily compete with wages of clubs likely to offer him a deal.**PRIORITY**
Key Stats (Per 90)
0.32 goals (15 goals per season over 46 games, elite for a CM)
0.22 xG (consistently in scoring positions)
2.77 touches in the box
88% passing success
https://www.fotmob.com/en-GB/players/1332540/enzo-bardeli

Jocelyn Janneh (CDM) - Bastia (Ligue 2) Hard tackling Ball winning midfielder. Elite ball winning volume at this level, actively recovers possession. **PRIORITY**
Key stats (Per 90)
6.34 duels won
86.4% successful passes.
58% duel success
65.8 touches (high for a defensive player, good in transition)
6.04 recoveries
3.61 Tackles
https://www.fotmob.com/en-GB/players/1367955/jocelyn-janneh

Dom Iorfa (CB/RB) - If Lascelles won't join, I'd take Iorfa on a free. He's a battle hardened, no nonsense defender who can also play right back, plenty of experience, still athletic for a 30 year old and could give us a few seasons of rebuild/solidity/depth.

Other Interesting players:

Mukasa (CAM) - would probably turn us down, but he isn't getting any first team minutes in the prem, and i'm not sure he's done enough at Champ level, if he doesn't go elsewhere, might be worth giving him a consistent run in L1

Niccolò Squizzato (Deep Lying Playmaker) - Entella (Serie B) More of a tempo controlling midfielder that Winks was supposed to be, plays in the space between the CDM and CM, but gets a lot of the ball, Free in summer.
Key Stats (Per 90)
85% pass accuracy
60% long ball accuracy
1.44 Chances created
2.03 Tackles
2.39 Clearances

Max Lowe (LB)- Linked in Summer, has been a really solid player for Wednesday despite their results over the last couple of seasons, 28 years old, would be a free transfer and he works hard, he could have forced a move in summer be he decided to stay and fight, we need that.

We would never sell or rent out Seagrave whilst King Power are around, and I don’t think any new owners would either

A big chunk of running costs is going to be the cat 1 academy as well

If they look to reduce costs it would be through shutting areas of the training ground down, not bothering with all 20 pitches, the golf course, etc.

They wouldn’t just jump straight to sell it / rent it

You will never get a job under Top with this kind of Aptitude

We have just offered contract extensions to Marcel & Opoko instead

Red tape

I am far from a planning expert but have a workingish knowledge of such matters.

Although not a definite blocker my guess would be that in the local area plan the Belvoir site is probably designed for uses that don’t get close to making it defined for future housing.

The major problem is that there are football pitches ( obviously) on the site. That is the major stumbling block because any application for change of use would require Sports England to be consulted and the real possibility is that Sports England would only agree if the pitches at Belvoir that have been in use during the last 3 years were replaced on a site closeby. That word closeby is key as I believe that Belvoir is in the boundary of Melton Council and Seagrave in Charnwood and are circa 20 miles apart .

My guess is, and it’s only that, pre planning meetings for Seagrave  identified how consultation outcomes might look . By that I mean  that LC weren’t just  able to just walk away from Belvoir and claim that the new pitches at Seagrave adequately replaced those at Belvoir. Convents in themselves can of course be blockers but there are ways in which certain types of convents can be usurped.

The more I reflect on why two training grounds I the more I think it’s was the Sports England issue that dictated

Be better off shutting downs some of the facilities like the heated indoor swimming as I can't imagine that's heated in a energy saving way. There must be other stuff, players buying their own food and stopping in local hotels they're paid enough.

I like the Max Lowe shout, he's a solid player in a position we need.

I can't see Pierce Charles staying at L1 level, not just because he had a worldie against us, he is consistently very good. Only knock on him is he's small for a goalkeeper, but he's arguably a top end champ/low end prem goalkeeper.

As much as I'd like King Power out, I wonder if there is the middle ground option of selling a minority share. Similar route to Wrexham.

Might allow an off ramp for KP; stick around for sentiment, allow cash injection with league 1 rules, and hopefully allow the football side to be controlled by the new investors.
