What are we thinking will happen when the inevitable happens.

Will we try to offload seagrave?

Will we be able to comply with league 1 financial rules?

What do we think their plan will be to get out of this mess amd will they communicate that with the fans?

What will be the likely attendance figures at the KP next season?

This thread will pretty quickly fill with people saying the club will go straight into administration, and will cease to exist within a couple of years.

Personally I think Seagrave will be sold.

Regarding League 1 financial rules, I’m not entirely sure what they are, but I don’t think PSR exists, so we should be OK.

I have no idea what the plan will be, but I think communication will be poor.

I reckon attendance will be about 20,000.  I think away games will be well attended though, just for the variety of days out.

Who is going to buy seagrave and for what?

From what I can work out the only restrictions in League 1 seem to be 75% falling to 60% of investment spent on playing staff but there doesn’t seem to be restrictions on how much you can lose from what I can tell? It also doesn’t seem to limit spending on infrastructure.

This is terrible...last time we were in league 1 we bounced back straight away but to think we could be down in league 1 for several seasons is just unfathomable from where we started...mental

Yep, you were able to throw in a few quid and get out of it, not anymore by the looks of it. You need good scouting and management

Spent fck all last time

and was only a lower tier champ club going into the relegation. This time we are basically have the infrastructure of a “prem club” and all the shit overpaid crap to go with it

Who are we going to sell Seagrave to, geniuenly who would want it.

I’m honestly interested I keep hearing this and I don’t see what value it has to anyone but Leicester City football club.

The only potential buyer I can think of is Forest.

regardless we will get absolutely bent over by selling it, I’d imagine we’d be lucky to get 25 million for it because everyone knows it’s a ticking time bomb for us if we hold on to it.

Well, the owner has made so many great decisions starting with promoting Dynamic

Rudkin, boy wonder super negotiator and talent evaluator... you just wait to see what this upcoming off season consists ... promotion!!!

We have parachute payment next season

so we’ll likely manage to navigate our way through it

I doubt we’ll try too hard to meet psr if it’s looking difficult at 60%. The (predictably arrogant) stance would be that we will get promoted so any sanction would be taken in the championship.  We will attempt to restrict losses because we would have to meet a three year running number of 61m for 24/25 thru 26/27.
Reckon we would see some young talent sold because it’s all profit (and at supressed values too). Does anyone trust that we’d have the foresight to put league 1 relegation clauses into contracts ?   Would mean a good few players earning approx 50k in league 1!!!!!  Hamza, Thomas, vesty, skipp, BDCR and more,
just don’t see us getting anywhere close to 60%, even though it will be inflated due to the PP.  Q

Wonder if it could be mothballed ? Still a solid asset on the balance sheet but running costs reduced to very low numbers and we locate back to BD. selling it for the kind of figure we’d get would realise a big loss in 26/27.

Do we? The whole issue around the loans taken out against them geniuenly confuses me. I know it’s not good but I will admit I’m fuzzy on the specifics.

To who? Who wants a 100 million pound training complex in Leicestershire? I doubt Forest would

There would be lots of redundancies of none playing staff, that is the sad thing about this relegation. The players have no concept of what their selfishness has caused.

I thought we borrowed against parachute payments already meaning it'll go straight to the Oz bank? But I'm no financial expert.

The quality of the squad is going to take a nose dive.

1. I think like @st albans fox states we'll mothball it with lots of redundancies. No one realistically will buy it. Could we sell BD for housing? Or are there planning restrictions in the area, that'll bring in some income.

2. I don't fully understand them but if we can only spend 75% of our revenue on playing staff stuff,  then we're screwed as we'll need basically a whole new team. Expect fire sales and loans from championship club backups.

3. Plan? You're joking! In their head this wasn't going to happen!! They wont have a plan, bar selling any sellable asset.

4. Last time it was around the 20k mark, but I think it'll be lower if we don't start well. It could average at 16-18k. The EFL trophy against premier league u21s could be under 10 easily. The attendances will fall if we're not near the top of the league.

I genuinely believe that Adminstration isn't out the question. We are a debt ridden club who have no concept on where we are. We will raise funds by selling a lot of players, if there are buyers, which will be used to keep the club running.

But does the awful recruitment team know how to assemble a squad for League 1? Who has talent in the lower leagues?  I'm guessing no as they seen to skip over that. I do hope we look to Pearson model of checking player mentality as well. But there won't be a strategy, or thought process like always.

I’m not sure that’s possible

They do have financial rules, and it’s based on wages, betwee 60-75% of revenue can be spent on wages, which we exceed.

But that’s not the issue, the issue is the club will no longer be making enough money to cover bills, which is ready evident as many people on here with experience working with the club has suggested they’re not settling bills already.

The club loses £40-50m a year without a wage being paid, there’s no way they reduce this in the space of a few months.

Essentially, Top will need to personally bankroll the club for a season, excessively to survive and get back up, which he won’t do.

We’ve already borrowed against the parachute payment.
