On reflection (and I have reflected *a lot*) bring on League One and the potential for excitement and change it offers. Let's hope we don't need to go lower before changing

I think League One is only the start. It will get much much worse imo.

Definitely possible. I hope we remain attractive enough for another investor to take over before it gets to that

Just think we need to understand that our situation is spectacularly, exceptionally, unprecedentedly f*****d. We have the worst financial position in history, and the worst owners in history are expected to deal with it. Our playing squad is contracted to PL terms in *League 1*. We have a training ground that costs more to service than we will ever earn from L1 football (or Championship for that matter). The only future is by getting rid of these assholes by any means possible. If you care you know

And moving on from Leicester, here's another thing to understand. Besides the basket case clubs who may or may not receive fresh investment, we're also competing with *well-run* clubs who have financial headroom to continue to improve. That's Lincoln's story: incremental improvement each season. By comparison... we are not in a great place on every level imaginable

Other than the few academy players around the first team, cut off the rest, we need a complete rebuild and loans

Monga(if he stays, which imo would be good for him)

Evans

Braybrooke

Alves?

Aluko

Page

Motsi

All need to be in the match day squad next season

How likeable was our squad in league one last time around - Tunchev, Morrison, Hobbs, Berner, Oakley, King, Dyer, Fryatt, Howard etc.

This time around it will be Thomas, Hamza, Winks, Skipp, BDR and the rest of the crap we can’t shift, makes you sick 🤢

5 of those you mentioned were new signings that summer, we'll have an unrecognizable squad next season.

But with our recruitment team, or lack thereof, thats hardly going to be a good thing

I hope so, I would be happy to never see any of these mercenaries again but who is going to be daft enough to take these players off our hands with their ridiculous wages and performances this season? Granted a few contracts expire but it feels to be we’re going to be stuck with most the crap and where is the money for the refresh? Especially with stricter rules we have to adhere to. It feels like our hands will be tied like this season and we’ll have players not wanting to be here, sulking, thinking they are above the league & creating a toxic environment which only goes one way.

We hit the jackpot last time with Pearson and the recruitment. I wouldn’t trust our owner / board to get the managerial appointment or recruitment right.

**** it, sack the horn player.

Are we sacking Seagrave? I could do with some decent turf!

To be fair, a guy in G1 properly hated Oakley. He booed him every time he came on, and gave him so much abuse, it was quite amusing

Tunchev, Burner were far too good for us and inspired signings. Shame Tunchev was so injury prone

Also, some clubs will have that PSR headroom to bankroll some good signings. We are severely PSR limited still and won't have that option.

The depressing thing is that we’ll struggle to keep them. That’s how bad it is. I know a big club were sniffing around Page before he committed to us. Alves has been mucked around by the club - no reason he would stay if an alternative was on the table. The others might see their level higher than league 1 if a Championship team is looking to take a punt.

Let’s not kid ourselves that next season will be enjoyable or any better than this season. The best we can have realistic expectations of (not talking hope but expectations) is survival.

There will be no big turnaround like in 2008. This regime will not recruit the next Nigel Pearson. They will double down again on another crap appointment. We won’t be signing the best talent from that level as we don’t have a pot to piss in. It will be frees and loans.

Importantly, losing and failing to win games has now just become ingrained in the club. It’s a habit. We went to a Sheffield Wednesday team with 1 win in what 40 games at that point and I had no expectations that we would win. If our opening game of the season is against Bromley, MK Dons, Cambridge or Burton, same story. There won’t be an expectation for us to win because the club has become serial losers and has a losing culture and mentality ingrained now after 3 relegations in 4 years, the last 2 being utterly dismal.

People are aware that Winks, Daka and Ricardo contracts are expiring there's about 12 million off the wage bill, I know we will need a lot more but it's a start.

Not Winks. He has another year. Although I’d say it’s likely he moves on anyway, as with some others who we may have otherwise found difficult to shift (such as Vestergaard).

Either way, it will need to all go towards plugging the financial holes and won’t mean we can suddenly go and shell out transfer fees.

Just clearing them all leaves space for the youth players to be picked, if we can't sign anyone they have to play and with something to prove unlike the so called proven players we currently have, the level will raise. The level also surely doesn't have to raise as far for the likes of Braybrooke, Aluko, Alves, Hutchinson, Evans to play in league 1 compared with the championship.
