West Brom also play on Tuesday against Watford so they just need to win either game

I think they will win today - their players are actually fighting for them

WBA also have Wednesday to play.

When I first started watching City we were in the second tier and Cov had a pretty decent Prem side. They're a reasonably sized City with one club who have massively underperformed due to poor leadership which we should have some sympathy for.

Lincoln are a pub team.

They had 34 consecutive years in Tier 1 mostly hovering above the relegation zone although they did win an FA cup.

Now after 25 years they're back they sure are consistent one might say boring.

I would like us to be within staying up range without the deduction having been applied. I can't see it happening though. I'd like this as a pressure point for the Prem. League/EFL for when PSR rules are changed/scrapped, which they will be. Just makes it more awkward for them.

Nah don't don't give the club any excuse. We deserve to be relegated regardless of any deductions

Just hope we go down by 7 points so the ***** in the boardroom can’t peddle the woe is us it’s the EFLs fault narrative.

The very worst leaders this club has ever had. Everyone in a director position at this club has blood on their hands

Luke Thomas on £60,000 \ week

So shxt. Constant hooping it up.

And what is the fuxking point with his long throws to give the ball away. and why always him to take throw ins to allow the opposition to set themselves up instead of a quick throw in?

He is the biggest culprit to allow opposition players time to settle down and for us giving the ball away.

Some potential soon to be facts, dating back to at least 1895:

We won’t be the highest-placed LCFC for the first time since our name change in 1919, due to Lincoln City’s promotion.

We’ll be two divisions below both Coventry and Forest for the first time in our history.

Depending on promotion and relegation, we might share a division with the following teams for the first time in our history:

Bromley

Exeter

AFC Wimbledon (formed in 2002)

Salford City (entered the Football League for the first time in 2019)

Barnet

Mansfield Town

Stevenage (if not, they’ll be a division above us for the first time instead)

Wycombe Wanderers

While I know there aren’t many on here, just a thought for the “we were in League 1 once” crowd, we’ve also won the Premier League once, played in the Champions League once, and won the FA Cup once. If you’ve somehow convinced yourself this is an acceptable level for us, just realise you sound as idiotic as someone claiming it’s normal for us to win the Premier League. Over the course of our history, this is more abnormal for us than playing in Europe or winning major trophies. Just a complete and utter embarrassment.

Getting out league 1 isn't as difficult as 10 years ago. We are a million times bigger and more attractive than all the clubs down there, including Sheffield Wednesday. . We can legitimately scoop up the best talent of every club if we wanted. This isn't 2008.  We just need a competent coach. The players to get us up will come.

I would love to believe this, but there's little evidence. 90% of our squad will be gone next season. Which I for one am actually looking forward to, quite frankly. However, that means probably replacing a good 10-12 players. There is no way we have the money for that, with Macquarie breathing down our necks.

Also, who is hiring the competent coach? Rudkin and Aiyawatt won't do that. You'd think it would be Mccarron once he's in, but I have a sneaking suspicion he has changed his mind. He was supposed to start beginning of April, and we've heard nothing.

Going to be so telling regarding who wants to stay. If anyone does who we played in the Prem, that confirms the quality we’ve been watching for the last few years.

I don't see how we even compete in League One. 90% of our team will leave, either due to contracts expiring, or wanting/needing to be sold. To be fair, I think most of us want to see the back of them anyway.

However, that leaves us with youth players, and those we can't get rid of on £40-60k a week wages (I'm hazarding a guess).

I'd say we could build on our youth, but why would any of them want to stay? Monga is as good as gone, and I am genuinely not sure we have a chance of retaining Nelson, Aluko, Evans and the like in our current state.

Maybe I'm being excessively negative, but I cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's bleak!

Mad thing is, this isn't out level. The people running our club took a top 5 premier league team to a league one team lol

Theres no bottom to this

With the way things are at this club. You really can't expect to bounce straight back like last time. The situation is dire, it couldn't realistically be worse. We're Saddled with huge debts and ongoing costs, like Winks on 70k a week. You can't see any way out of this mess. No one's going to buy this shit show even if the man child wanted to sell. Then we still have the years old problem of Rudkin.

4 teams get relegated from this division remember. You need well over 50 points to survive and I can't imagine what's left of this squad will get anywhere near that.

Fingers crossed for some miracle money and no transfer embargo. 🙏🤞🍀

I think there could easily be a chance of this. That side and that performance today and, over the last few weeks, wouldn't make the top half of the league.

Serious chance we hit the summer without a manager and with several players leaving and no money to replace them. large scale redundancies of non-playing staff and the same useless owner and DOF who have presided over this abhorrent display and who will dither around before appointing a manager who will have no pre-season with whatever players we have left etc.  Just remember it took Coventry 25 years to get back to the Premier League.  If that is us then pretty much anyone over 60 today may not see us back in the Premier League.

Yeah true, I understand that. It’s more of a punishment to the senior players that I’d tell them all not to come back. The u21’s have been playing really well recently and they should be given the opportunity to show what they can do.

I'm glad they're doing well as they will almost certainly make up the majority of our first team next season. If we're lucky enough to keep them. 👍
