Utterly bizzare that he was re-loaned out again after the Newport spell

Suppose you could say it was better to keep him away from this absolute bin fire but probably would’ve been our best midfielder haha

Ideally, all the senior players should go to be be replaced with League One ready players, but realistically I think we struggle to shift Souttar, Choudhury, Skipp, Luke Thomas, Bobby Reid and Vestergaard. Everyone else I would expect to go, but anything is possible with our leadership. I hope they realize the situation and act early, and decisively, something we've not seen for a few years.

Nelson I would expect to be here, and probably be captain, Stolarczyk, although I don't rate him, may be OK for League One. Alves, Braybrooke, Aluko etc gives you the basics of a squad.

I see so many people including Nelson in their teams for next season and in this case, saying expecting him to stay.

With many of the high earners, it’s hard to predict what will happen. But I have to ask, where is this notion Nelson is staying coming from? He’s among the most obvious departures apart from the out of contract ones for me.

I hope at least the following:

Monga

Mavididi

Skipp

Fads

James

Ayew

DCR

Stolarczyk

Nelson

Souttar

Page

The rest can go.

Of course this is also subject to who would want to stay.

Are you a Forest fan?

Christ alive. Bit early to be on the sauce isn't it!

Are you and LCFCOZ the same person?

I’m worried. I think a lot of our youth has been brought up in the world of them thinking they are much better then they actually are.

Our £10/£20k a week young superstars who had aspirations of playing in the PL versus other clubs youngsters who are glad to be where they are fighting for their lives in league one.

You also see a lot of the youngsters come  through and end up in the National League or lower, so I don’t think we can look at our young squad and think it’s going to work.

Look back over the years and a vast number made an appearance or two and disappeared without trace.

He's not out of contract; contracted to 2027.

The answer is not to have an 11 full of kids but some (Aluko, Page, Braybrooke) and some older pros with good heads on them, like Pearson used to recruit.

You’d hope they are looking to prove themselves even if they have eyes on a bigger move.

This makes me sad because it could be very true. Some (definitely not all), of the youngsters we’ve played this season have shown a bit of fight but I’m sure if we looked at their actual stats they wouldn’t be anything special to convince a big club to swoop in.

Exactly. A cheap pick up for a side higher up the pyramid. He will still have a good reputation despite this season.

What an absolute shambles!
I can only think of

Nelson

Thomas(I know I know)

Either because of contracts or think they're too good can't see anyone else staying and that will be the best thing that can happen. The next manager will have to be Pearson-like, who can build a team from the core outwards, instil the right ethics and team spirit - I can't see beyond the youngsters and the odd loan.

Good riddance to everyone else .....I might miss Abdul and JJ and Ricky.

This nightmare is real, isn't it?

We buy and sell immediately hopefully at a profit

I assumed we'd have to agree personal terms with him at the end of the season. Unless they are pre arranged? Not sure how it works but im saying it would be the former. In which case he won't sign.

He won’t stay, but I would love him to. He is old but experienced enough. Also, he is better than most fans give him credit for. He is good with holding up the ball and has also scored a few crucial goals this year. We need some experience going into League 1. It is hard to find experienced players who is willing to join us now. We might as well look at who we have and I think he is one of a few who can be that character. I definitely don’t like the likes of Hamza or Thomas - they are crap. I doubt Ricardo will stay even though he will always be a player I hold in high regard given all the years he has been with us.

Who would you find as an experienced head going into League 1?

Reminds me of the Seinfeld line where he’s talking about his arch nemesis Newman.

Elaine: “Maybe there’s more to him than meets the eye?”

Jerry: “Oh no, there’s less”

Souttar needs to prove his fitness, so imagine he stays, him and hopefully Nelson starting cb with Aluko at right back is a positive start. Vestergaard I doubt will go so he can benched and I’ve horrible feeling we will give Lascelles another year! We never learn.

The line up will like be this for the first game.

Stolarczyk

Joseph

Souttar

Gray

Aluko

Braybrook

Page

Alves

Briggs

Evans

Hutchinson.

Most of this squad will be gone, and we won’t sign many players at all, probably a few frees, or one or two loans.

And, I guarantee that King will be the head coach when the season starts.

This, plus a few frees and loans, would be ok.

I would love a new goalkeeper. Someone like Angus Gunn, whom is on a free and needing a first team gig. When we last went down to League One, we loaned David Martin from Liverpool to play in goal and did ok. So a possible loan from the premier league maybe. Jakub really isn’t a commanding keeper. We need to work on creating a spine.

Yeah get Angus Gunn, another one ticked off from the 9-0

Ha, is that right?! Perhaps not then! Stick with my viewpoint around a loan, as really want Jakub offloaded.

Hopefully no more than a couple.

To say they don't care is an understatement. Not an ounce of fight in them. A culture that has been allowed to formulate within the club for too long now.

Its become a holiday camp, bit of fun.

Top n co are getting everything they deserve for their acceptance of what this Club has been allowed to become.

Wilderness awaits, possibly another relegation thats how inept they have become.  Short term I feel sorry for all those losing their jobs. Bet the gutless bunch can't look you in the eye when news hits soon enough.

Reset needed, a whole new approach from Top to bottom. Bring back the hunger and pride and you'll bring back the support.
